From The Beginning..

Chapter One.

[The Enchanted Forest]

Regina's POV

It begins to rain as I am sneaking back into the mansion, hoping that my mother has not noticed that I left after she specifically told me I couldn't.

I walk up the stairs up to my room, when I noticed that the door was wide open..and I remember I had closed it before I left, as I walk in I see my mother Cora sitting on my bed staring out the window. At this point I didn't even know what to expect.

As I get closer to my bed I manage to get out, " M-mother ?" . And without taking her eyes off the window she tells me to, "Just sit" as she points to the chair near the window. As I sit she slams the door and locks it with her magic. And with that there was no doubt she already knew where I had snuck off too.

Cora's POV

Honestly I don't know what to do with this daughter of mine! I don't understand what goes through her head when she disobeys me. I could feel her presence as she is walking up the stairs up to her room as she finds me sitting on her bed. I could tell she already knew that I knew where she had been. "Just sit.", I say sternly. For once in her life she obeys and sits as I slam and lock the door with my magic so no one could interrupt.

Finally I turn and face Regina, looking directly into her eyes. "I don't even know where to begin to explain to you how frustrated I am with you Regina! What do I have to do to keep you away from that no good commoner?!".

Regina's POV

As I listen to my mother begin to lecture me as she has done many times. Out of know where I find myself directly in front of her and I say, "But mother please you have understand he genuinely cares and loves me! Why are you always trying to destroy my happiness, you-you witch!". As soon as I finish I realize what had come out of my mouth. "M-mother I'm sor-" and I didn't even get to finish when I felt my cheek burning. As I grab my left cheek from the pain and tears began to fall from my eyes I felt my mother roughly grab my two shoulders, "Don't you dare speak to me that way! I AM YOUR MOTHER AND YOU WILL DO AS I SAY WHETHER YOU WANT TO OR NOT.Don't you understand I want the best for you, I want you to have everything I never had at your age. And the no good commoner can't give you everything Regina."

"But mother you have to understand that I don't care for any of that. What me and Daniel have is true. I love him and he loves me. And none of that matters to us, all we want is to be together. Because what we have is true love." I say as I end up looking back directly into my mothers eyes with tears pouring down my face. And I finally see her actually listening to me and processing what I had just explained to her...maybe now that I have stood up to her she will understand that I don't care for all of those materialistic things she has always cared about. And maybe she will finally accept Daniel and let me be with him. But then I see that smirk on her face and she begins to laugh as I stand there so confused of what is happening.

"Ohh Regina, your so stupid and young and that is why I am here to guide you sweetheart. I know what you want, it's just that your to innocent and dumb to realize it but you will thank me later for everything I have done and continue doing for you." she says as she is walking towards the door.

I don't understand my mother and I don't think I ever will. As she gets closer to the door she turns an looks at me and continues, " And because I love you so much my darling I am going to have to keep a very close eye on you..just like a baby. So from now you will not have horse riding lessons, go out on your own, ride your house, or let alone leave this room without me, until I you show me that you have same mindset and goals for yourself as I do for you."

I just listen as she basically takes my whole life away with tears in my eyes, I think my mother has officially gone insane. "And how do you expect to keep me trapped in this mansion mother, I am not a baby I could very well get up and walk out if I pleased."

"Oh my sweet sweet daughter, you don't have to worry I will have that all taken care of " she says as she snaps her fingers and a purple glow begins to spread in the air and through the whole mansion. "There, see all taken care of." Then she turns around and walks out of by room leaving me and on my bed and my tears.

And with that I knew that there was no leaving ANYWHERE without my mother.
