This is for my best friend marvelousnerd1120 so when I say Teresa in this story I don't mean the one from the real story.

Thomas pov

Teresa sat on a log with Chuck. They laughed and talked.

"Your staring Tommy." Newt sad to me. He found out that I like Teresa a while ago.

"Can't help she's so pretty. Her brown hair, her brown eyes, the way she smiles." I would have kept going if Newt haven't stopped me.

"Then tell her that's how you feel." I don't know. She and I are friends, what if it ruins our friendship?

"Hey Thomas, meet me in the deadheads after diner." Teresa had walked up to me in my thinking.

"Ok. For what?" I ask her confused.

"There's something I need to tell you" she walks away and walks to Newt who's smiling at her. They walk away and talk.

After dinner
Teresa's pov

I waited for Thomas to come to the deadheads. I was finally gonna tell him I like him. Newt had convinced me earlier today to tell him. Once I asked him to come to the deadheads I told Newt.

"Teresa? Are you here?" There was Thomas. The guy I had liked since he helped me out of the box. My best friend in the glade. The one who I was about to ruin my  friendship with.

"Over here Thomas" I call to him.

"Ok I know you want to tell me something but I have something to tell you to."

"Let's just say it at the same time then"

"Ok 1"

"2"

"3"

"I like you." We both say at the same time. I can't help but smile, he liked me back!

"Did you just say what I think you said?" He asked still in shock.

"Only if you said what I think you said." He smiles at me and I smile back.

"Then that means we like each other"

"Yup"

"So what do we do about that?"

"I can think of one thing to do."

"And what's that?" I get a sudden burst of confidence and kiss him. He kisses back and it's great.

"So can I ask you something?"

"Anything." You say hugging him now.

"Will you be mine?" You smile at the stupid question.

"Of course, you stupid shank."
