Chapter Thirty-Eight.

“Thank you for our lunch date. It was like a blast from the past.” I grinned as my eyes bored into Dylan. He smiled.

“My pleasure, the food was just as fantastic, as usual. We should come again soon.” Dylan replied quickly and I grinned wider leaning in closer.

“Of course.” I whispered as I brushed my lips softly against Dylan teasing him. He groaned as he clenched me closer his arms warping around my waist. I smiled softly against his lips as he deepened the lips sliding his tongue into my mouth without hesitation I kissed him back eagerly. My mood cracked as I heard a impatient ‘Ahem.’ I quickly slid away from Dylan leaving him roll his eyes in annoyance as he had been interrupted by Ryan. Ryan looked furious as he had his fists clenched and a huge menacing scowl plastered on his face as he glared at Dylan.

“See you later Dylan.” I mumbled interrupting there staring contest. I quickly kissed Dylan’s cheek and skipped over to Ryan willingly. Ryan’s expression shifted from a scowl to a smug smirk. Dylan huffed off to his car and I sighed waving to him politely.

Ryan’s face turned to mine as he smiled.

“Ready to have some fun.” It didn’t really sound like a question more like a statement. I frowned,

“Ryan your just taking me home Ryan.” I said with a smile but he shook his head.

“Slight change of plans darling.” Ryan said quickly as he slid his hand into mine and guided me to his car.

“I know where your car is.” I said taking into account that Ryan was holding my hand. Ryan didn’t even stiffen he just held my hand tighter smiling. His palm felt so soft against mine, not sweaty but tranquil. It surprised me the slightest bit.

“Cant her knight guide her through danger?” He asked and I grinned wider.

“Danger meaning the deserted sidewalk and sharp pebbles?” I asked raising an eye brow at Ryan he chuckled.

“Nah, the danger actually just left.” Ryan said smugly and I rolled my eyes. I needed to know what happened between Ryan and Dylan.

“Ryan what happened between you and Dylan?” I asked as we reached Ryan’s car. I opened the car door just as Ryan stiffened at my words.

“I don’t want to talk about it.” He said calmly, and I smiled at his venom less voice. I slipped into the car seat as Ryan took his seat in the driver’s seat.

“Common you can tell me, I’ll do anything and I’ll be your best friend forever!” I grinned drawing my hands above my face in a pleading gesture. He frowned to my surprise and muttered something under his breath which I couldn’t make out. He smirk soon returned as he turned his face slowly to mine and said.

“Anything?” he said in a seductive voice and I gasped then smacked his forearm.

“Ryan! You pervert!” I chuckled and he grinned with a low chuckle.

“Kidding of course!” he said slowly and I smiled as he started the ignition and pulled out the car park and onto the main road.

“Tell me, tell me!” I pouted with an attempt of pulling a cute face. Ryan glanced over at me and giggled. My eyes widened, did he just giggle?

“You giggled. Aw that’s so cute!” I exclaim taking his cheek in-between my thumb and finger and speaking to him in my famous baby talk.

“Get off.” he grumbled as he shook my hands off, focusing back to the road.

“Your too cute when you giggle, I haven’t heard you giggle since we were seven.” I confessed and he hardened his gaze on the road his grip tightening on the steering wheel.

“Don’t call me cute.” He mumbled and I giggled.

“Fine would you prefer handsome, dashing or adorable?” I answered as I spotted a grin growing on his lips.

“Handsome will do.” He replied simply and I rolled my eyes.

“I guess handsome would have to come with the whole knight in shining armour package anyways.” I admitted a blush flushing to my cheeks. He glancing over to me again a clear smirk stuck on his handsome face. He immediately caught by my blush and grinned wider. A hand shot out and ruffled my hair.

“Aw you blushed! Too cute!” he exclaim repeating my childish behaviour. I glared at him which only made him laugh louder.

“Keep your eye on the road!” I exclaim and he rolled his eyes back to the road. I smile smug as I take pride in him obeying me. “Where are we going anyways?” I added quickly looking out the car window, to see blurs of building’s flash passed the glass.

“That’s a surprise.”  He said not bothering to look at my expression, I’m sure he could picture my annoyance which made him laugh.

“I hate surprises.” I whined and he ruffled my hair again. I groaned in annoyance and turned my attention to the window.

“Poor baby.” He murmured sarcastically with that smug smile. I narrowed my eyes.

“Hey! Don’t touch the hair!” I exclaim soothing my curls back down, he laugh and I couldn’t help but smile, his happiness made me smile. “Are we there yet?” I groaned looking over at Ryan, only to notice the car was slowing down.

“Yep!” he exclaimed as he turned off the ignition. I grinned and looked forward through the glass.

My eyes widened.

“MINI GOFL!” I exclaim jumping out the car.
