Robin ran upstairs from the Bat-Cave, hoping to get upstairs before Batman saw him. The Boy Wonder had just been dumped by text, and decided that his partner would be mad if he saw Robin crying.
"Robin? Where are you going?" Batman asked. The Boy Wonder didn't know that he was about to run into Batman until it was too late. Robin tried to get around him, but Batman grabbed his arm. He spun his partner around so that they were mask to mask. The first thing Batman noticed was his son's tears.
"What happened?" The Dark Knight demanded. Robin saw that his mentor's expression wasn't angry, but worried.
"She dumped me...by text," Robin explained. Batman said nothing. Instead, he pulled his young partner into a hug. As the boy let out the remaining tears, Batman rubbed the Boy Wonder's back.
"Feel any better?" Batman asked. Robin nodded, then burried his face in Batman's chest.
"Batman, I'm sorry. I shouldn't be so upset about this," Robin whispered. Batman was shocked.
"Robin, you don' t have to hold in your emotions, and you shouldn't try to either. After all, you're only fifteen. Bad stuff is going to happen, it's a part of life," Batman explained. Robin pulled away, wiping his eyes.
"Thanks, Batman."
