A/N: the only thing about this fanfic that's related to 50 shades is that Lauren owns a company. This does not support abusive relationships. No where in this story will you find anyone being forced or hurt.

Enjoy xx

"Lauren, you have a new visitor," Normani stated, as she opened the door and peaked her head into my office.

"Who is it?" I asked, flipping through my schedule. I hadn't written down any meetings for today.

"A young lady named, Karla Cabello." Normani formally spoke.

The name didn't ring a bell, but since I wasn't busy, a small meeting wouldn't be too big of a deal.

"Let her in, Kordei," I commanded.

"Yes ma'am." Normani spoke, before disappearing behind the door.

EARLIER THAT DAY

Camila's POV

"Dinah, did you read this?" I asked, angrily waving the magazine up in the air.

"What is it?" Dinah asked, approaching me and taking the magazine from my hand.

"It's September's edition of GreyScale magazine," I said, watching her widen her eyes at the page that was already flipped open.

"What? This is complete bullshit. Our company did not shut down because of bankruptcy! It shut down because of low shipment!" Dinah shouted angrily, ripping the paper.

"I'm going to have a serious talk with the owner of that magazine, this is disgusting." I angrily mumbled.

Dinah and I have been best friends since I could remember. We met in middle school, ever since we have been inseperable. Here and there, just like normal friends we've had fights.

Two years ago, we had decided to start our own company. We produced women's clothing.

For a while, our company was at high success. A year and a half later, Dinah and I had been going through a rough patch in our friendship.

Having two owners of one company isn't a smart idea. We argued constantly about who would contain the shares of the company.

Eventually, being blinded by the money, we had forgot to finalize the last six months of shipment for our products to Asia and South America.

It was a terrible mistake on our part. Our company went down in flames. We had to refund over fifty thousand dollars in products to our customers.

We decided the best thing to do was shut down the business and use the money saved to pay back the customers.

We thought everything was over, but now here we are, staring at GreyScale magazine with a page of mockery about our business loss.

I took the magazine back from Dinah and looked at the article,

in big bold letters it read:

CAMINAH'S CLOTHING LINE A JOKE? WE THINK SO!
