How their friendship came to be

"G-Gilbert! What a-are you doing?" Matthew gasped as Gilbert did something incredible! What is that "thing" you ask? You are just going to have to read on to find out...

One day, Matthew was on his way to school, it was his first day at Hetalia Academy and he was really excited. On his way to school he noticed an attractive platinum blond walking in front of him, to be exact he was around 10 meters ahead of him. Matthew couldn't help but think to himself Wow, he's HOT!...

He had noticed the uniform and, accidentally thinking out loud, shouted "He goes to Hetalia Academy too?!"

Blushing furiously he realized that he and the sexy platinum blond were the only people on the street at the time. The blond turned around for a moment, revealing his beautiful albino face and his sparkling, gorgeous, red eyes. Matthew now blushed even harder in embarrassment, Why did I say that!? he thought.

He hadn't noticed how fast he was walking since he quickly caught up to the albino and... "Gah! S-Sorry, so sorry", he bumped into him. "It's okay just, next time, watch where you're going." said the man.

"So, shall I introduce myself? I'm Gilbert Beilschmidt, I am starting my first day at Hetalia Academy today."

Matthew just sat there, silent. "Can I know your name?"

After a few seconds, he snapped out of his daze and replied "Oh, um, sorry. I'm Matthew Williams and today is also my first day at Hetalia Academy." He then asked, "What country do you represent?"

He replied "Me? I-I r-r-repres-sent P-Pru..." before he turned around , covering his face with his hands. Matthew, instantly alarmed tried to comfort the, now crying, nation, "I'm sorry, did I do something wrong? What happened?"

Gilbert mumbled through the sobs "It's nothing, you did nothing wrong. I'm okay."

Even though the blond claims that he did nothing wrong, Matthew couldn't help but feel guilty.

They had been standing there for so long that they hadn't noticed the time, there was no time for feelings now, they were gonna be late!

"I am very sorry Gilbert, but we have to go now, or we'll be late." So they continued on their way to school. "I am so very sorry Gilbert, I didn't mean to do anything that would hurt you. I hope we could still be friends, despite my unacceptable actions."

"Please stop blaming yourself Matthew, you did nothing wrong, I just remembered something from my past that I tried hard to forget, but obviously my efforts had no avail. And of course we could be friends, also...." his voice trailed off a bit, turning into a mumble "...I-I...think you're cute."

"What? Sorry, I couldn't hear you." said a curious Matthew.

"Oh, i-it's nothing, I think we're going to be great friends." replied the slightly blushing albino. "Great." Matthew said shyly, but smiling.

That was the last thing that happened before they walked to school in silence.
