I sat in class staring at the board. There was only five more minutes until the bell rang symbolizng summer vacation and archery lessons would be starting up again and I couldn't wait.
"Caleb, what is the answer to this equation" my teacher, Mr. Feras, asked.
"836" I replied blandly. My father is a mathemetician so I knew this stuff by the time I was 10 and I am 13 today and today is June 27.
2 more minutes until the bell rings. I wish it would just ring already. 1 more minute. Then my ADHD kicks in and makes the last minute seem like a whole hour.
BRINNG!!! I jumped out of my seat and ran towards the door. I ran outside and towards the bike rack. I yanked my bike from the rack.
My home was about 1 km from my school. I biked over some glass and one of my tires deflated so I had to walk the rest of the way home. I walked past a squirrel and instead of hearing usual squeaking I swear I heard it repeating "nuts" over and over.
I just kept walking home ignoring the fact that I was going crazy. I arrived home within about 10 minutes. I unlocked the door. I walked into the living room. Everything was trashed the T.V. was smashed and layed in shards in the room. The couches were thrown up against the wall. I ran into my room and grabbed my forest green tinted bow and a quiver of about 15 arrows.
I checked every room in the house with an arrow knocked in my bow. The house was empty except for a note on the fridge saying "you were a mere accident".
That was all that was written on the note. I ran out the front door and looked around frantically searching for anyone that looked suspiscious. There was no one there.
"Are you Caleb Krevis" a voice asked from behind me. I whiped around and pointed an arrow in the voices direction.
There was a girl standing there wearing an orange shirt and simple blue jeans. I glared at the girl. She backed up a little bit noticing that I was armed.
"Why do you want to know" I responded sharply.
"I was sent by your father to pick you up to take you to a special camp" she said.
My eyes burst with excitment "an archery camp" I exclaimed.
"Well sort of..." she said awkwardly.
"Where is our ride then" I asked impatiently. She smirked and then put her thumb and index fingers in her mouth and blew.
A horse with wings came flying out of the sky. It landed swiftly and gracefully. "Is this the kid" it neighed.
"My name is Caleb" I responded back. The girls eyes widened in shock.
"Y-you can understand him" she asked disbelief clear in her voice. I nodded my head.
"Let's go" I exclaimed while jumping on the horse. I grabbed the reigns on the horse and flicked them slightly. He neighed some colourful languauge and tryed to throw me off of him.
I held onto the reigns as tightly as I could. After about 10 minutes of this he threw me off of him. I stood back up. "I don't like this kid" the horse neighed.
"The feeling's mutual" I responded. He then kicked me. I landed on my side making it ache from the impact. I stood up my side still in pain. "Don't forget I can still skewer you" I said while knocking an arrow in my bow.
"Is he arguing with a pegasi" I heard a male voice behind me. I turned my head around to see a teenage boy standing there. He had very dark brown to black hair and had eyes the colour of the ocean itself. He was sporting an orange T-shirt with simple blue jeans.
