"CALIFORNIA HERE WE COME" I had made the mistake of giving one of my best friend the key to my apartment, and only realized it when they barged in
"Michael, " I looked at the bleach blonde haired boy, with my hands on my hips "you couldn't knock?"
"Why would I do that?" his stupid smile, spread across his face
"Maybe because it's my house, dickhead" I laughed "Where are the other assholes?"
"They're coming. They're coming" he waved me off "Ha coming, get it" he cracked himself up
"Yes, Mikey. I get it" I rolled my eyes, as the other three boys walked into sight, stopping at the door to knock
"Hey." Luke, the lanky, sandy blonde boy, knocked "Can we come in?"
"Yeah" I hugged him and the other two boys, as they walked in "Look Michael, some people have the decency to knock"
"Whatever. Are you ready?"
"Yeah wait a second. Let me go get my stuff from my room"
"I'll help" Calum offered. Calum was a tall, muscular, Asian looking boy, with big, brown eyes, and a blonde streak running through his dark hair. We got to my room and I tossed my book-bag at him, and he skillfully caught it "Really?" he laughed setting the bag back on the bed
"Yeah I know you'd catch it" I giggled "I had confidence in you"I took my suitcase off my bed and handed it to him
"Thanks, I totally wanted to take your heavy ass suitcase" he rolled his eyes, but still took it
"Shut up asshole" I laughed, slinging the book-bag across my shoulders "You offered to help"
"I know, I know" we stood facing each other "Are you excited?"
"Hells yeah. I'm wearing boots and a coat right now. I can't wait to put on some shorts and hit the beach"
"True. This snow is killing my vibe" we walked out of my room and back into the living room, where the other three boys had made themselves comfortable with my snacks
"Gracie." Ashton stood up. He was the oldest out of the group, but the shortest out of the boys, which meant he was about 6'1, and his curly brown hair was constantly falling in his face "We took some of your snacks" he stuck out a box of fruit snacks towards me"Do you want some before we eat them all?" he was definitely the most sympathetic out of the boys too
"No. It's fine" I walked towards the door, Calum on my heels "C'mon guys. We have to go" they all stood up from my couch and put on their coats "Bring the snacks, no need to waste those haha"
The car that the boys rented for us was in the parking lot, filled with their stuff, so Calum put my stuff in the trunk, and we piled into the car. Ashton drove, with Luke in the passenger seat, and me, crammed between Michael and Calum.
The drive to the airport was stressful, because of the slippery roads. Chicago roads weren't fun in general, add snow and they're hell. Michael and Calum tried to distract me from the scary situation by poking me the whole time, and shoving their earbuds in my ear, letting me listen to the "new music" they had recently found.
"We're here" Ashton announced, pulling into an almost vacant parking lot, with a couple other rented cars "Let's go we're gonna be late" he stressed, jumping out of the car
"Ash, chill. We still have an hour." I tried to soothe him, and push Michael out of the car at the same time
"If we don't make it through security fast. We'll be late. Let's go" he practically started throwing our stuff out of the back. "Okay everything's unloaded. Now I have to give the keys to the desk through these doors" We all dragged our luggage behind us, trying to catch up to Ashton. By the time we got to the desk, he had already turned in the keys and was walking towards security.
