Your POV

You've awoken in what seems to be a bed of some sorts. It was dark and the only light was from a window showing the sun from still cloudy skies, which barely helped you see at all. The bed you were laying on was made of a fluffy old cotton material. It was worn out, but it still provided you with warmth at least. You're head rose up from your resting position when you have heard footsteps coming closer.

"Did you have a good nap?" That voice seemed familiar, you could see a figure nears yours. "Uhh... Yeah, I guess..." You yawned, not really remembering the events of last night. "That's good." The figure smiled at you, "You were passed out like a little kitten who didn't get enough sleep." They chuckled at their statement.

You only glared at the figure with your now-sharp (E/C) eyes. Then you yawned again, still sleepy since you just woke up. "Where am I anyway?" You asked the figure curiously. "Why, you're still in the theater, darling! After you came here, you just passed out... Seems like you've lost a bit of your memory!" The figure stepped into the dim light, revealing purple and cream fur, a dark bow, and dark colored eyes with white pupils... It was Masquerade. They're fur smelt like ashes when they walked a bit closer to you.

"So, (Y/N), care to tell me why you've came here last night?" Masquerade eyed your muddy pelt, still wet from the rain shower. "Well, I just needed a shelter... I thought this place was freaking abandoned..." You said the last part with a bit of sarcasm. Masquerade chuckled, "Well you thought wrong..." They said with a tone full of hatred. You just rolled your eyes at them. "So, (Y/N) seems like a mouthful to me.... How about i give you a nickname!" Masquerade smiled cheerfully.

You eyed their expression, then sighed. "Well, if you want you can call me (N/N)..." Masquerade shook their head, as they looked up with a thoughtful expression. Their face suddenly lit up when they looked at you. "I know!! How about Light?!" Light? Are they serious? "Why... Light?" You questioned the purple cat. They just smiled at you, "Well, seems as if your life involves a LOT of light in it..." Well, that could be true... Actually, it was!

Your face had a look of question then you sighed. "I guess that's alright." You gave a reassuring smile. "I know it's alright, Light!" Masquerade chuckled. "Now, get your sleepy pelt out of bed, we need extras for the show...." They started walking away and down the steps of the dark place that the old theater had.

You sat there and yawned for a moment. Then you looked at the small, cracked window. There were a few dark gray clouds outside as it seemed like it would rain again. Only few droplets of light shown through the clouds and licked the soft ground below. The forest ahead whispered to the area as a velvety breeze passed through. You sighed as you realized you were lost in your thoughts. 'Today is gonna be a long day...'

You got up from the old cotton bed, stretching before making your way down some dusty old wooden steps. There weren't many of them, but it took a little to get down them. Once you arrived at the bottom of the steps, you looked around the illuminated room. There were a lot of figures and creatures roaming around the place. A stage was just up ahead, dusty velvet curtains were slightly open as you spotted a purple pelt from afar.

Masquerade was looking around the place, seemingly proud when they spotted you. They motioned for you to come over to them, and you obeyed, almost running into some things on the way. On your journey to the stage, a gray pelt beside you caught your eye. They looked a bit like Masquerade, only with different colors and no bow or mask marking. They had a gray base with orange legs and parts of their tail, they also had blue ears, with other parts being blue, they had an eggshell colored chest, paws, and parts of tail too. Their eyes were dark with glowing white pupils, much like Masquerade's. You only took a quick glance at the cat before making your way over to the stage again. They seem to look back at you too, while walking towards something, seeing as they quickly flashed a smile at your direction.

Your thoughts trailed off after seeing that cat. 'Who were they? Why do they look familiar, asides from being like Masquerade? Hmm.... Why did they smile at me?' Before you knew it, you were face to face with Masquerade, they just smirked at you. "Good, you're actually out of bed..." You just rolled your eyes at the purple cat. Masquerade started to walk behind the velvet colored curtain, motioning with their tail for you too follow.

Behind the curtains that were slightly drawn was a softly illuminated place. Since there was barely any light, you can only see some figures. Among the figures was a cat figure... or was it a lion? You didn't know... that seemed to be floating a bit, the dark figure's yellow-green eyes glowing a little. You were just staring at that one particular figure for a moment, and then you just turned around to face Masquerade.

"So, why are we here again?" You questioned, the purple cat smiled. "Didn't I already tell you the reason, Light?" You glared at Masquerade. "Why the heck do you keep calling me that?!" Masquerade glared back at you, not saying a word this time. You sighed and padded away from the creepy cat... nah, creepy isn't the best way to describe them.... crazy, maybe? You were trailed off in your thoughts when you suddenly ran into the figure you saw just a couple minutes ago and fell. "Oooff! Oh my gosh, i'm so sorry!" The figure looked down at you and apologized.

You slowly got up and looked at the cat-like figure. They had white fur with a tuft of fur that was black with orange and pink highlights, inside their ears was light orange tufts of fur, on their back was a black splotch marking. On their back legs was rows of neon colors separated by black lines for markings, while on their tail were the same sort of markings, except with a pink to purple gradient.

The female lion-cat looked at you with curiosity as you realized you were just staring at her. "You okay?" She tilted her head and you nodded. "I guess I wasn't looked where I was going" You muttered, the lioness laughed. "It's alright! I'm Neon Spectrum, but you can call me Spectra, (Y/N)!" You looked at them with shock in your (E/C) eyes. "H-How do you know my name?!"

Spectra looked at you, "W-well... uh....um..." She looked down, a blush of embarrassment slowly covering her face. You laughed a tiny bit. Turned out that today would be pretty cool.
