Recap : I took another deep breath...and took her hands in mine.

"Will you...Lynn..." I said, starring straight into her eyes.

"Go out with me."

Did he just....ask me out? I asked in my head as Justin looked me straight in the eyes, awaiting an answer. The rain started coming down harder and harder now, but right now I didn't care.

My throat was dry, and I couldn't speak. Butterflies fluttered inside my stomach, and I thought I'd be sick. Time seemed to slow just slightly, in my head.

Slowly, Justin's expression changed. The small glow in his eyes faided, and he released my hands. He took a deep sigh, and walked by me, rubbing the back of his neck. I slowly snapped back into reality, and I turned on my heels.

"Wait." I said, and Justin turned to look at me. I looked down at my hands, and smiled.

"Look, you don't have to..." Justin sighed. "I knew this was stupid of me to ask." I looked up at him as he turned his back to me, placing his hands on the sides of the roof.

Few minutes, we stayed like that. In my head, I was screaming the answer, but no words came out.

So it made it worse. After a few more minutes, I was afraid he'd commit suicide because I wasn't answering him.

Finally, my legs began to move, ever so slightly towards him. My shoes, which we already soaked, splashed in the small puddles that were forming on the roof. Justin didn't move.

When I was able to reach my hands out towards him, and touch his back, he turned to look at me. I gave him a small smile, and he smiled back.

"Sorry for popping the question at you like that." he said, turning back towards the city of Atlanta. "I guess it was too soon, or something."

I cleared my throat, and finally said, "Yes." Justin looked at me, and laughed.

"So you agree?"

I blinked, and laughed. "No, no." I said. "I'm answering your question."

Justin shot me a confused look, and fully turned towards me. I took a few steps closer to him, and wrapped my arms around his wet T-shirt, and smiled.

"I say yes." I repeated. "I will go out with you."

Justin was silent. For a split second, I'd thought I answered too late, and Justin had already made it up in his mind to get over me.

Then he wrapped his own arms around my wet T-shirt, and I smiled.

"Good." Justin laughed. My smile widened.

"There you two are!" someone exclaimed behind us. We both seperated, and saw Justin's mom standing near the railing of the fire escape, umbrella in hand. "I thought you two were kiddnapped or something." she laughed, and her eyes twitched from me to Justin.

And a smile spread across her face. I looked at Justin, who looked at me too. We both smiled, and walked towards Justin's mom.

Hand in hand.

YES!!! I thought as Lynn took my hand and we walked to the apartment. When we walked into the air conditioned, both Lynn and me began to shake from the cold. My mom ran to the back to go get some blankets, and dry clothes.

She came back with two pairs of my shirts, and two pairs of my PJ pants.

"I couldn't find Lynn's things, and I could tell how cold she was." my mom said, handing her a shirt and pair of pants. "And I figured you wouldn't mind." she handed me the same, and smiled at both of us.

"Go get dry." she said, and Lynn ran into the bathroom first. I smiled and walked into my own bedroom. I tossed all my wet clothes into a corner, and put on the dry clothes. It felt good to be dry.

When I walked out, Lynn was sitting on the couch, head leaned back, eyes closed. I smiled, and walked into the kitchen for a bottled water. My mom smiled at me, and took a seat next to Lynn.

Lynn's eyes opened, and she leaned her head back. My mom laughed, and Lynn smiled. As I walked towards the couch myself, Lynn stuck her feet out as I passed. I stumbled, and plopped next to my mom, half my butt on the couch, the other half on my moms leg.

"Goodness Justin." Mom said, laughing. "Get off me." Lynn busted out laughing, and I laughed too.

"I've got you later." I warned, pointing a finger at her. She smiled, and looked at the TV, which was on. Nothing new.

Still talking about Lynn and me, showing old pictures from last night. Lynn laughed as he said :

"Are they going out?"

"So...are you two?" Mom asked, smiling.

"Like you don't know." I said, laughing. Mom stood up, pulling a camera out of her pocket.

"Scoot together." she said, smiling like crazy. Lynn laughed, and scooted over next to me. I wrapped my arm around her shoulders, and she layed her head on my shoulder, smiling as my mom counted to three before the blinding flash shot the picture.

"I'm gonna go e-mail this to your grandparents and Ryan." she said, and skipped over to the computer.

Lynn laughed, leaning her head up, and sighing. "So." she pointed to her phone, which was vibrating once more. She picked it up, and rolled her eyes.

"Brittany again." she said, laughing. I took the phone, and tossed it on the other end of the couch.

"Who's Brittany?" I asked. "Never heard of her."Lynn laughed, and placed her head back on my shoulder.

"I guess this is only the beginning?" she asked. I shrugged, and leaned my head on hers.

"Probably." My eyes began to close. When Lynn didn't say anymore, I figured she'd fallen asleep.

This, I can get used to. I thought before slowly falling asleep myself.

Hope it's long enough :)
