Next morning Tony was the last one to wake up.
"I thought I told you to leave." Said Jess barging in to the living room.
"I never agreed to that." Said Tony while rubbing his eyes.
"It's my house. You don't have the right to disagree." Jess was having hard time controlling her anger. Even looking at him made her turn to some old crazy lady.
"And I am your father." Said Tony standing up. He acted like they were talking about what to have for breakfast.
He left for kitchen before Jess could lose it all.
"Smells good." Said Tony in disbelief.
"Perks of having a girl on the team." Said Clint.
"Shocking news! Boys have arms." Said Natasha hitting Clint in the arm "You can cook too."
"There's no need when we have you!" Said Clint.
Tony sat down and ate the sausagesin his plate.
Everyone was talking around him but he was deaf to the sound because of the voices in his head. He knew he had made a mistake in the past but now he had the opportunity to make it right. The problem was he didn't knew how to start. He had a different understanding of baby steps. He might take a big one an ruin his chance.
"Hey earth to Stark." Said Steve.
"Let me try to call him from Asgard." Said Thor holding his hammer up only to be stopped by Natasha "Easy blond guy."
Steve gave Thor a look than turned back to Tony.
"What's your plan?"
"Finishing my sausages" answered Tony.
"I mean about the item..."
"Oh yeah. I'll run some tests on it."
Bruce turned to Tony and said "Where will you do that and with which material?"
"In the basement." Said Tony like it was an obvious answer. "with scientific material."
Before anybody could say anything Jess came to the kitchen.
"Hey! Sausages? " asked Natasha showing the plate on her hand.
Jess looked at the plate. "Not hungry. Thanks." Than she turned to Tony "I am going to school. If you are still here when I come back, I'll broke your fancy toys."
"Maybe we should leave." suggested Natasha after Jess left.
"She'll come around." Said Tony after putting a sauce in his month. He got up and took the item from his jacket.
When he reached the door, he turned around and looked at Bruce. "You coming?"
Bruce nodded and followed Tony to the basements door.
When they reaches it Bruce realized there was a panel with numbers on it. Tony entered the password and the door opened. Light was coming from the downstairs. It was designed as a tech heaven, filled with computers and machines that only scientist would understand.
"Does Jess know about this?" Asked Bruce in shock.
"I don't think so." Said Tony. He wasn't sure but if she knew, she'd probably have it destroyed by now. He wasn't even sure that Emma would have an underground lab in this house, the house she wanted so much too make it normal...
Bruce got the box and put it in a machine to test it if it had any kind of energy source around it while Tony wnt to upload Jarvis to the system.
"Hello Mr.Stark!" Said Jarvis' s computer voice.
