Chapter 1
"Hey Reggie wake up, we have to get ready for the ceremony, do you think this year is going to be our chance"?
" For what, are you still going on about joining the Relic Clan"!
"Of course, who wouldn't!" I exclaimed.
"You just keep on dreamin, don't you vin!" laughed Reggie.
"Snap back to reality Vin, this is the Relic Clan you're talking about".
"Come on dude have some faith in me" Vin stated proudly.
"Lets wake up Jake" Reggie whispered.
"Ok" I muttered.
"1...2...3!" Reggie shouted.
"We both jumped on Jake, then he jerked up cautiously".
"Bro...you got to stop that, you know how that agitates me!" Jake shouted.
"I looked out the window as a saw the Village preparing for the ceremony, of course I have put some though into joining the Relic clan, I'm just concerned on what awaits for me".
"Hey Reggie you ready?" I said confidently.
"I just hope for the best I guess".
"What about you Jake"?
"Of course as long as you guys don't ambush me every morning"!
"Im way past that, but just remember the Relic Clan should be arriving soon so you guys need to gather your things up!" I said patiently.
"Why do we need to pack of things up again?" Jake said.
"Well because we might get accepted into the clan so we need to be prepared." I spoke out.
"Im all done just let me grab one more piece of equipment" Reggie exclaimed.
"Hey Reg what exactly is your piece of equipment?" Jake stated.
"Oh...it's just my grandpas old survival kit."
"We need details Reg!" Jake shouted.
"Well okay then...there's a swiss army knife, first aid kit, and a test tube with a hint of healing goo in it".
"So that sounds like a usual survival kit, but why the goo"? Jake said curiously.
"Its used for a really...really...extreme emergency".
"Anyways, were ready when you are Vin!" Reggie exclaimed.
"Vin come on lets go before we miss the march!" Reggie shouted.
"As I reached for the door knob I heard the horns of the Relic Clan's entrance and as usual it never changed, the old march from the coast to the valleys, and the chief awaits for the rest of the clan to arrive for the introduction".
"The old tradition never changes" I mumbled.
"Well come on lets go register for the training unit!" Jake shouted.
"Hello son are you here for the entry" Sergeant Reynolds exclaimed.
"Yea" I said confidently
"You can sign up over there at the table son".
"Thank you seargent" I shouted.
"Hey Vin wait up" Jake and Reg said at the same time.
"Jinx!" The two boys shouted at separate times.
"Come on guys lets get this over with" I said annoyed.
"I reached for a paper, pen, and instantly filled out the entry form".
"I gave the form to the Chief and awaited for the others to meet up with me".
"So what now Vin" Jake said.
" I guess we just wait for the Clan to decide on who will be accepted".
2 hours later...
"Ladies and gentlemen boys and girls please listen up" Chief Delgado briefly spoke on the microphone."
"We have decided who will be the cadets in trading based on physical and mental skill, please make a mental note that this is not for everyone, so anyone that knows they are not ready for this opportunity please step forward now".
"Before I knew it half of the participants stepped forward which helped regain my confidence".
"I will now be presenting you with the list of cadets and when I speak of your name please walk up to Sergeant Reynolds here aside me and receive the invitation to join us in training".
"This is it!" Jake shouted with excitement.
"The following please arise, Lance Aberrant!, Daniel Agaro!,...Vincent Aguilar!,...Jake Hernandez!,...Reggie Sierra!" Chief Delgado said briefly.
"Come on guys lets go get out invites!" Jake shouted.
"As I walked up to the Sergeant he whispered to me...you're the one."
"I walked back with that quote on my mind playing over and over again like a broken record".
"Hey Vin look at these sweet invitations!" Jake shouted.
"Yah...Yah" Reggie exclaimed.
"Hey vin what's wrong with you?, you like your in a different universe".
"I'm just wondering why...".
"Attention!" Chief Delgado yelled out with excitement.
"I expect you cadets to be waiting at the main gate at Dawn, training starts tomorrow"!
"Is this is even legal?" Reggie mumbled.
"Hey you signed up for this!" I exclaimed.
"Hey Jake can you tell me a little bit of the Relic Clan's history?" Reggie questioned.
"Well you see a long the time ago there were 3 guardians that were know as the Kandro's who were up before the crack of dawn seeking the urge of protecting over there realm, but one day one of the Kandro's was sent on a voyage to retrieve some sort of light source because a greatly powerful darkness was heading towards the coast. Later that day the Kandro never returned with the light source and they though he was lost, but the other two Kandro's weren't going to let their guard down, but before they knew it there realm was destroyed. They then did some sort of ritual chant that formed the Elite Light Force that we know as the Relic Clan, which had a common ranking of warriors that were trained and put to their will to fight over there realm".
"So let me clarify my self, I just signed a piece of paper to get my self killed!" Reggie shouted.
"Well no, you see they were pretty much spawned with the ritual and we are actually cadets in training so don't worry to much." Jake explained.
"Alright guys we should start heading home because remember we have a big day tomorrow." I exclaimed.
"I mean I guess, we have to be at the main gate at the crack of dawn anyways." Reggie said.
I was just thinking to my self of how training would be, would we go on practice missions, run laps until we collapse, or even wake up on a deserted island with limited resources?
Well tomorrow's a new day and I can't wait to make the best of my self as a cadet!
