That moment when she woke up, she realized the truth. The truth about everything. The lies, all the lies that she's been living in. She couldn't believe it. Her whole life she hard been missing everything. Her heart hard been filled with so many lies and secrets. She couldn't even move.
The tears just kept falling and falling. No one could stop it. They were like a never ending rainfall. After all that time she finally remembered the truth. But she would never know the next day like always. She knew that this was not the first time that she hard remembered. Multiple times she did and all of those times she hard forgotten. Not because she wanted to. It did not want her to. " I need to get away" she said in a panic. " I cannot believe this" tears still falling down her cheeks. She staggered to put on her clothes.
Then a loud knock on the door BOOM , it went the first time. All the life drained from her face as she fell backwards landing on her behind. the second time she heard the knock she sprinted to the window. She stopped as she heard his voice. The voice that she once thought would always calm her down angered her to the core. He than said "Are you okay I heard a loud thud. Open the door sweetie, come on". Her face was full of disgust. She knew this all too well." I will be right there " she managed to let out.
she opened the window and jumped out. As she fell feeling the wind in her hair brushed her tears away. The sadness and betrayal she felt turned into rage and anger. She began to run and run. She did not care where she just wanted to get away. She couldn't help but remember all the memories. She was intoxicated with those fake lifeless memories.
She did not know what to believe anymore. All of never real. She ran and ran until she was out of breath. As she looked up she was in an unfamiliar place. But she did not care, as long as she was away from that place. She than began to walk but a loud voice that felt like her head was ripping into two said "Idiotic like always".
She held her head in pain, she only managed to say " w...wwwho.".
The voice than just laughed saying " if I would've known you were going to be like this I would've never showed you the truth". "ww..what did you say" She managed to say as the pain slowly began to decrease.
" you still do not remember me" the voice said
"do you even remember you are own name?"
"my name" she said "it's...it's...Alayna". "at least you know that much" the voice said "so for you to figure out everything we are going to have to find each other". " find each other! what. aren't you just a voice in my head!" she said in a panic.
"calm down, I'm not just a voice. you actually know me" the voice said. "okay, so since you know me do you know what's going on" she said. " I will tell you everything when we meet." the voice said. "okay so where do we meet". "since you just left that place you must be 3 days away from me" the voice said. "3 days away! you want me to walk for that long! that's impossible" she said in astonishment.
" who said you were walking" the voice said. "so than what I cannot run there". "you are going to meet up with an old friend. She's not that far away from you." "And how am I supposed to go to this 'friend' you are speaking of" she said.
"Just keep walking ,you will than see two paths, you will than go to the left one. you will keep walking until you see a dead end. you will remember what to do when you get there" the voice said.
"huh what do you mean I will remember when I get there." she said. " I need to do something I did not have time to tell you every single detail" the voice said. "wait. I cannot figure this out on my own" she said not knowing what's going on. no answer.
the voice stopped and silence filled the unknown place. She did not get what was happening but she decided to follow what the voice said and walked straight. the sun turned from being a bright yellow to a dull orange with no light in it.
"just like me right now" she said in an accepting voice. I have been walking for ages how far is it". Her face showed with exhaustion and sweat. She wanted it to end. The sky was changing. It was getting dark. The only sounds she heard was the sound of silence. She was starting to get worried. She began to walk faster and faster. Her face then showed with joy "finally" she said looking at the two paths.
"Which way now" her face went pale. she couldn't remember. Was it right or left. The paths both look completely different from each other. The darkness allowed her to see that. The right look like it was never ending, while the left look like something was there, waiting. she did not know what to do.
"left or right, right, or left" she said multiple times. Her exhaustion left her unable to remember. Which path was right and which wrong. So many questions past her mind. She walked in circles trying to remember what the voice said. After some time she decided she was just going to go with her guts."Right" she said "that's my final answer". She doubted her answer but she made up her mind. As she stopped walking in circles she than moved one leg to start walking. She quickly stopped as she heard something. she listened carefully. It was the sound of people talking. She did not know what to do. She was still. The longer she waited the talking got louder and louder. She than heard the people say "we need to find her and quick". Chiles went through her spin. She knew that they were talking about her. She quickly ran and did not stop. Her thoughts were like a tornado. Unable to comprehend the situation. She than stopped, unable to move. A dead end. She did not know weather to be joyful or worried. "What next, I don't know what to do"She said not knowing how to cross. "Why did not the voice tell me what to do". Her face went pale after she heard the talking again. Panicking she said " oh no".
