Wowie I wrote this over a year ago now.  Tbh I think that most of my older work is terrible, but here you go!
__________

"Fuck you!"

"You're disgusting!"

"I wish you had never been born!"

Her family's voices echoed through her head as she slowly walked towards the cliff. The sun was setting; it looked like beautiful yellow and orange paint was being splashed across the sky. The water that was so, so far below reflected the golden atmosphere above with an indigo undertone.

She wished that it didn't have to end, but what did she have left to live for? She had become an empty shell of what she once was. Her old self was nothing more than a distant memory, and her family had drained away all her personality and life.

No one understood her, yet she was judged all the same. Her family considered her a freak, and even if they didn't outright say it, they made it painfully obvious. She stood at the cliff's edge, admiring the sunset. What beauty there was in the world, yet it was all destroyed eventually. Just like her will to live. Just a few steps and it would all be over. She would be free.

One.

She was judged and looked down upon. It's not like she chose to be gay.

Two.

If her family actually loved her, they would have chosen to accept her. One more step and she would be gone forever.

Strong arms wrapped around her from behind, pulling her away from the edge. Suddenly she was on the ground, being hugged by a smaller body. She rolled over in the stranger's grasp, blinking her eyes upon noticing warm brown irises staring back at her. Looking into those eyes sparked a new feeling in her. She wasn't sure what it was, but it was warm and she liked it.

The eyes sucked her in, and she didn't even realize she was crying until a tear dropped onto the other girl's face. Slowly she sat up, the other girl clinging on to her as if afraid to let go. She hesitantly relaxed into the stranger's grip, cautiously wrapping her arms around the one that kept her from death.

Neither of them exchanged any words, for there were none needed. For some inexplicable reason the girl felt safe. No one's grasp had ever made her feel safe before. Gradually she leaned her head on the stranger's shoulder, sobs shaking her back.

They squeezed each other tighter, their unhurried embrace lasting well past the sun set. For once, the girl didn't feel like it had to end.

Her life had just begun.
