I wake up . in my odd amity home ,its finally the day
Aptitude test day . I get out of my hammock bed brush my hair , I put on some red skinny jeans and a half yellow shirt showing off my belly ring . my father hates it when I wear stuff like this
I get down stairs and see my father eating a breakfast salad "Mackenzie change your clothes now that looks terrible" my father yells from the kitchen
"Change then go to your grandmother's now " he booms agian I go up the stares and open my dresser loudly acting like I'm changing
In the back of my drawer I pull out my rope and hang it out my window and climb down and start to my grandma house . she's not biologically my grandma she adopted my dad when he was about my age
I walk up and go through the door
"Hay grandma " I say loud enough for her to hear from the other room
"Hay baby girl .. You look cute today ,want me to braid your hair " she asks . you see my grandma loves to braid tight braids to the side of my head . her mom taught her
My grandma , she's joannas sister but she's prettier. I sit down in front of her and she parts it
"I love doing your hair its just so pretty " she says starting the first braid
"I'm going to miss you ..." She says and I I look up at her
"I know your leaving. Dauntless huh ...." She says and I nod
"I swear gram I'll visit you all the time just promise you'll come see me every visiting day " a tear wells in my eye
"I promise" she continues braiding until the hole left side is corn rows I hug and kiss her good buy and leave for the truck that Rob drives to the city for school I meet up with karsen Jay and marqiz my three best friends . were what you call the rebels misfits outcasts of amity . Karsen likes to fight people and can have a temper he's crazy some times Jay or jayanita likes to lets say be dumb . she smokes cigarettes and is always in trouble marqiz is just my pal he is gay and loves tattoos he wants to die his hair and get tattoos and take crazy adventures
Then there's me
I'm just a mix of all of that . but i m small 5" 1 1\2 100 pounds soaking wet . but I have mussels I'm stronger then I look and can run faster then all my friends combined
But my mom said once before she left that she didn't have a growth spurt till she was six teen and a half
I'm a month away till I'm 161\2
We ride in the back of the truck until we get to the school and we all jump out me karsen Jay and marq go in and sit at our table and wait . marqis is called then me for the fourth round
We walk to gather the then stop at a door I walk in
"I got this " I whisper to myself I stop at the mirror I adjust my my jeans then walk to the lady "Hi I'm Tori I will do your test please sit " the lady says shes dauntless
"What's your name " she asks and I look at her "um Mackenzie but I go by mack " she nods "your dauntless " I create more conversation
"Yea obviously" she chuckles looking at the computer screen "do you know a lot of people in dauntless... From like five or six years ago " I mutter and she looks at me confused
"Well there's Eric Josh Zeke four then christena Uriah Lynn Shanna Mar tris and will but that's just some from then why did you ask ?"
"Well um its complicated. I sort of have a half brother and he doesn't know and I just I don't know what to do about it ." I mutter slowly like she'll kill me for asking or something
"Well let's take the test we can talk after " she hands me the liquid and I drink it
I fall into the test

There's mirrors everywhere

I turn around there's a knife and there's cheese
Thats a hard decision
I reach with both hands and grab both the table disappears
I nibble the cheese biting it and eating it till a loud growl from behind me erupts
I turn and large dog is growling and snapping at me
I tear off some of the cheese not a lot cause you know it's MY cheese and throw it at him he goes after it and eats it I sit down and start eating the cheese again and he walks up to me I pet his head till and little girl maybe five squls "puppy" the dog takes off for her and she screams I stand up and throw the knife as hard as I can and hits the dog he clapeses

I wake up with a start sweating
"Hay its OK it's over " Tori says next to me again
"Wha'd I get " I ask inpatient
"So when you picked both cheese and knife it showed a mix of dauntless and erudite when you started eating the cheese ha-ha it took out erudite and put candor but candor was eliminated when you gave some to the dog and it was abnagation and dauntless
But when you through the the knife abnagation was gone and it was amity and dauntless but the amity trait was weak so your result was dauntless " she rambled on
I nod with excitement I was wanting that
"So the question from earlier" she adds I nod
"Do you know his name " she asks
"Um Tobias Eaton " she nods
"That's four . no one but me and his wife know his real name don't spread it around " I nod
"You can leave ...maybe see you around " I walk up and just hug her she just stands there at first the hugs back
"Thank you" I leave
I find my crew
We go out side
"Say it on three "

"DAUNTLESS" we all whisper yell and we group hug
We walk down to the truck with Robert and get in we drive home
Once we get to amity the crew goes to our hid out
There's hammocks an old TV thing a couch . awhile ago we broke in erudite and found this small fridge we got that and a bunch of food and sweets
But in there cafe we stole these weird fizzy drinks called pop
And once we got into dauntless' cafe and got alcohol drinks
Only for special occasions
Like tonite
We got in and opened the bottles
"Who's ready for tomorrow !!!" Marq says
And we holler
"Hay but we have to come back and get this stuff and find a new hide out " jay says and we agree after a beer we all crash in our hammocks
