"Thanks for the ride," Alice jumped off the last step of the giant ship.
"No problem girl," Yondu replied closing the ship door.
Alice looked around, things looked much different since she was last there. I can't believe I'm back, she thought. Her parents had abandoned her when she was only eight. They dropped her off here, at Knowhere before leaving her.
"I'm sorry sweetheart, we're doing this so you can have a better life," she replayed her mom's voice saying that exact lie. You aren't doing this for me, she remembered her parents, you're doing this for you! Sadly, that was true. Both of her parents never actually wanted a child. If they did they wanted a boy, but they got a girl, and that was Alice. The only people she's ever consider 'family' was Yondu. He found her wondering around, hopelessly. Alice has always been thankful for that, but she's always wanted to meet someone else from Terra that she could consider 'family'. "That would never happen," she laughed out loud to herself, forgetting there were other people around. She zipped up her jacket and threw her hood over her long, chocolate brown hair, that fell right over her big golden eyes. She didn't know where she was going, she was going, she was just walking.
"HEY!" someone shouted, "YOU!" Alice turned her head slightly seeing a small raccoon figure next to a giant tree.
What the eff... was the only thing she could think. I didn't even do anything. Behind the raccoon stepped a very muscular type creature, he was green with red...stripes? Next to him, a girl, in all black who appeared to be green as well. Alice decided it was time to pick up her pace. Still not knowing if they were talking to her or not, honestly she was slightly scared.
"Stop walking faster! it's just making it harder to catch you!" The raccoon yelled. She turned around to see if they were still trailing her. Then of course, there was another one added into their little group. Of course, way to go, she sarcastically thought as she turned into an ally way. She started running, hoping they wouldn't get to her quick enough. Turning her head to check for the group, she ran straight into a brick wall.
"Got you!" A deep voice said.
"Not as hard as I expected," The girl laughed.
"I am groot!" Said, probably the tree.
Alice tried getting up, she tried matching the voices with the people. All the sudden everything became one pitch black blob.
