Chapter 13 ~ talks

ETHANS POV

"Ethan!" I hear my dad scream in my face. I look around and see I'm laying on the couch, everything rolls back to me, the love then the screaming the slapping, I look at the back of my leg and it's all black.

"What?" I say getting up,
"common you gotta get ready for your singing practise, oh and your sisters are coming too"
I get up and go up to the room, I get my stuff and sneak out so K doesn't wake up. I go into the main bathroom get changed, brush my teeth and hair then go down stairs, I then leave with my dad, Tahlia and Jamie leaving my mum and K behind in the hotel room.

KAYLAS POV

We get down to Starbucks when I see, my mum. Uh oh! Miranda and I sit down at the same table as her
We order then Miranda mouths to me 'sorry but I have too!' She then speaks up "so Mel we have something to tell you"
"What's up?" My mum says back with a smile
"Kayla?" Miranda says telling me to speak up
"Mum" I say nervously
"Yes K?" My mum says her smile starts to fade and her eyes are getting wider
"Ethan and I" I say nervously not wanted to tell her about my life with Ethan
"K?" She says back to me
"Ethan and I have been getting really close and well last night we decided to take it to the next level, but before we could Miranda found us" I say gritting my teeth
"Kayla I knew this day would come, and i knew that yours would come earlier then any normal 14 year old. Miranda thank you for telling me, Kayla, when you were 11 I told you that I want to know when it was going to happen for you,I want you to be safe and not get pregnant. Miranda, thank you so much, your a great role model for Ethan and K, I appreciate it so much. now I'm going to have to go I have to pick up Cal from his drivers test" my mum says getting up. I think those words touched Miranda. "Kayla" Miranda says turning towards me. "I love you, right now, now that your living with me and my family and your my only sons girlfriend that he's told me about, or I've been able to talk to him about, I'm taking you as my own, my own daughter" those words touched me.
"Thank you... Mum" I say giving Miranda a hug.
"Now do you want to go see the everyone else at Etho's practise" she says wiping her tears away
"Ok" I say as we get up and go pay the bill.

Half way in on the car drive Miranda calls James, Ethan's dad, he picks up straight away.
"Hey honey are you coming down the studio?" He answers
"Hey, we're actually just 5 minutes away, have you talked to Etho?"
"No, I'm just about to when he comes for his break in which should be starting right about now, oh here he comes gotta go see you soon" he says hanging up

ETHANS POV

I finish practising with Delta and then walk out to the family room to see my dad on his phone, Tahlia on her phone and Jamie watching frozen on her iPad. "Ethan can we take a walk?" My dad says getting up "Tahlia, can you look after Jam for one second please?" We then walk off "Ethan about l" he starts "let me guess, Ethan about last night your grounded for two years, never to see Kayla again for school and that you hate me" he say as I get really annoyed at him, my voice starting to get deeper from getting older. "No Ethan, one don't use that tone on me and two..." He starts but I cut him off again "look dad about Kayla, I love her and I will never use her, I love her as much as I love you and mum and you know that we're close and that I love you guys with all my heart"
"Ethan... Stop cutting me off and yes I know how you feel with Kayla just take it slower, okay?"
I wasn't expecting that so I go with it "okay" I say as we get back to the family room, as we get back to the room I see Kayla "K!" I squeal like a girl and run up and hug her. "I love you" I say out loud kind of hoping my parents will hear "I love you too she says back. "Ok Etho breaks up" delta comes out. "Oh so this must be your girlfriend your always talking about!" Delta says again walking towards me "OMG your delta goodrem!" Kayla says "don't squeal over me your boyfriend is Ethan Karpathy!" She says, they then walk back into the practises room "bye" delta smiles and waves at my family.
