"I wish people would stop staring at me," Said Clara as she walked down the busy streets of Phoenix City.
You only think people are staring at you.
"Shut up, Jolene!" She yelled, and people raised their eyebrows.
And you wonder why you don't have a girlfriend.
I rolled my eyes. "Yes, because every woman is just dying to date a woman who hears voices in her head and talks to herself."
It's possible. Anything is possible.
"Let's just make it home in one peace."
Clara made her way to the bus stop and waited for the bus to arrive and was able to make it home without hearing so much as a peep out of the voices in her head.
She checked to see if she had any emails from the dating website Zoosk and she had over fifty messages in her inbox, and why wouldn't she? Clara was a beautiful woman with dark blonde hair and pretty blue eyes. She looked through the messages and picked out the ones she thought she could see herself having a future with-twenty out of fifty.
Sadly every date had no sparks although it went pretty well.
On her way upstairs to her apartment building she bumped into her neighbor Freedom, a beautiful woman with dark brown hair and grey eyes. Clara always had a crush on Freedom, but would never tell her, yet she would have lots of sexual fantasies about her.
Freedom dropped her basket of clothes.
"Sorry," Said Clara, as she bent down to pick them up off the floor. "Let me help you."
Their hands touched as they picked up one of the pieces of clothing and their eyes met, Clara blushed and Freedom smiled.
"Did you come from another date?" Asked Freedom.
"Y-y-es." She stammered.
Freedom took the shirt they were holding and placed it in the basket and gathered up the rest of the clothes before standing up and helping Clara to her feet.
"Those women seem to be all wrong for you, but they are very pretty."
Clara sighed."I just don't feel much of a connection with them."
"Perhaps you should try a different route, eh?"
"What?"
Moron!!! She wants you to ask her out!!!
She frowned."Who told you to butt in, Bruce?"
Freedom looked at her strangely and Clara gasped.
"Oh, god! I'm so sorry."
She ran and headed back to her apartment before she could embarass herself any longer and cried once she was inside her room.
It's okay, Clara.
"Not now, Anya," She wept.
Clara went to her dresser and pulled out the gun she would mull over shooting herself a hundred times, and tonight she just might do it.
She was just about to pull the trigger when a knock at the door stopped her. She lowered the gun and tossed it on the bed and went to go answer the door, it was Freedom.
"Hi," Said Freedom. "I don't know what that was back there, but I've had enough of this silly game, Clara. Stop ignoring me and go out with me, okay?"
Clara stared blankly at her. "Come again."
"Go out with me."
"Free-"
Freedom kissed her, and Clara knew then that she would not go through with the plans of ending her life, for Freedom's voice has saved her.
