Forgive Me Father, For I Have Sinned!

Forgive me Father, for I have sinned

And known what I have done

The smell of me remains downwind

My stench you can't outrun

For years the wrong path taken

A different way of life

My resolve will not be shaken

I carry my own strife

You came to me so many times

Shown error in my ways

But I will answer for my crimes

When comes the end of days

But not by you or any judge

Or jury of my peers

Time itself may try to smudge

Or play upon my fears

But I can stand up for myself

And I alone be counted

I'm not afraid to assert oneself

And everything else recanted

What matters most of all to me

When all's been said and done

Is I've been who I want to be

I am the man who won!

So forgive me Father, for I have sinned

But I am free, as free as the wind!
