I loved you more than lovers do,
I wanted nothing more than you,
You had said it was all too much,
You left me cold without your touch,
You said you wanted more than me,
More than what we could ever be,
You had never been good with lies,
You always showed truth in your eyes,
You lied to yourself out of fear,
Wanting to push, yet hold me near,
You too had also felt it all,
You knew what it was like to fall,
You didn't have enough faith to try,
Simply gave up on you and I,
You had turned from us, walked away,
You left two broken hearts that day,
You gave up on becoming more,
What had all our big love been for...
I loved you more than lovers do,
I wanted nothing more than you,
I hold regret from that day too,
I should have fought harder for you.
We gave up on becoming more,
Heartbreak is what big love is for.
