You and Niall have been friends since you could remember. He was basically the older brother you never had and he was extremely protective of you. Especially when it came to guys and dating, this being the reason that you and Liam have been hiding your relationship for months now. Today is you and Liam’s five-month anniversary and you two planned on him coming over to your flat, making dinner and cuddling while watching movies. You two couldn’t exactly go out in public because of paparazzi and of course Niall would find out. After you two had finished dinner you decided to both put on your pajamas and cuddle up in your nice comfy bed. As you were watching the movie you had a feeling you were being watched. You looked up at Liam to find him gazing down at you. “Take a picture! It’ll last longer.” You said sticking your tongue out at him. He gave you a small smile and brought his hand up to grasp your chin. He lightly ran his thumb over your chin repeatedly as he stared down at your lips. In your head you were practically screaming at the top of your lungs for him to kiss you and as if he heard your thoughts he brought his lips down on your. He shifted so that you were underneath him and you wrapped your arms around his neck pulling him closer to you, which seemed impossible. Liam ran his tongue over your bottom lip asking for entrance and just as you were about to grant it to him you heard your front door shut. “Ey! (Y/N)! You in here?” Your eyes widened immediately as you remembered that Niall had an extra key to your flat. You quickly got out of bed and told Liam to hide under it. He did as you told him and just as he was under and out of sight Niall walked in.
“H-Hey Nialler! What are you doing here?”
“I haven’t seen ya all day hun! I figured we could hang out and watch a few films.”
“Y-Yeah! Sounds good. C’mon! Let’s go!” You said pushing him out of your room.
“Why in such a hurry lass? Are you hiding something? You seem really jumpy.”
“Me? Jumpy? Nope. No sir! Not me! Nuh uh!” Just as you started ushering him out of the room again you heard Lim sneeze under the bed. You slapped your hand to your forehead and watched as Niall walked over to your bed.
“Niall! Wait!” You yelled as he got down on his hands and knees and looked under the bed. Of course he found Liam.
“Liam? What are you doing under there lad?” He asked as Liam got out from under the bed.
“Uhh. We were just playing hide and go seek!”
“Hide and go seek?” Niall asked taking off his snapback and scratching his head in confusion.
“Umm. Yeah. Hide and go seek. Well, I better get going! See ya around!” Liam said making his way towards your bedroom door.
“I’ll walk you out.”
“Wait!” Niall yelled making you both stop in your tracks. You both turned around to see a very angry Niall.
“You two are dating aren’t you?” You both stayed silent and looked at the floor. “You are! How could you both do this to me?! You lied to me! I can’t believe this! My two best friends!”
“Niall quit shouting lad! It’s not that we wanted to do this behind your back and lie to you mate, but when it comes to dating and (Y/N) you aren’t exactly sunshine and rainbows. Plus we knew you wouldn’t be up for it especially since it’s me.” Liam said intertwining his fingers with yours because he could tell you were on the verge of tears.
“You’re damn right! She’s like my sister Liam!”
“I understand that Niall, but think about what Harry said. When you have a connection with someone you just kind of know. That’s exactly what happened between us. We couldn’t stay away from each other. No matter how hard we tried.”
“N-Niall. Please understand.” You said bringing your hand up to catch a tear that managed to escape. Niall sighed and shook his head before walking towards you and pulling you in for a hug.
“It’s not that I don’t trust you or him. It’s just I love and care for you so much. I guess I was just being the overprotective brother. I don’t want to see you get hurt. I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine. I complete under stand where you’re coming from. I love you too, but I need to live my life Nialler. If you should be apologizing to anyone it’s Liam though.” Niall broke away from you and pulled Liam in for a brotherly hug.
“I’m sorry man. You know how I get around her.”
“Yeah I know. Are we okay?”
“Yeah. We’re okay. I’ll leave and let you two have some time alone. I’m really sorry again.” Niall said before placing a kiss on your forehead and leaving the room. You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding as you fell on to your bed backwards. Liam crawled up next to you, put his arm around your waist and leaned on his elbow looking down at you.
“Well that went better than I expected.”
“I agree. I was expecting smoke to come out of his ears.” You said chuckling.
“You’re not kidding. Now where were we?” Liam said cheekily before connecting his lips with yours.
