"So, what exactly are you going to do with us?" I asked. Jack had left earlier, to go get something. During that time, Kaylee woke up. She had duct tape on her mouth, but was squirming and whimpering. "It's no use. You can't get out," He had told Kaylee. "Well, you see, you two know too much already. And I'm afraid, my friend, that you can't be trusted anymore," He responded. He put his arm up, which had been behind his back the whole time. There was an object, now pointed towards Kaylee. I hadn't realized what it was till there was a loud sound, and a muffled scream coming from Kaylee, cut short. When I turned, she was limp. She had been shot. Before I could say a word, he pointed the gun at me and pulled the trigger. But, I didn't feel any pain, and instead, everything went black.

I woke up, sweating and feeling dizzy. It was my room. How? I didn't feel any pain and there was no blood. I stood up, but had to sit back down. "What just happened?" I asked out loud, not caring who heard. Then, Lilith opened the door and poked her head. "Hey, you oka- Wait, what happened to you? Why are you crying?" She asked, shutting the door behind her. I was crying? My hand touched my face. Huh. It hadn't felt like I was. "Bad dream," I replied. She stood there for a second, and then slowly nodded. "Need anything?" I shook my head. She left with a muttered "Okay." It was just a dream. Well, it was the realest dream I'd ever experienced.
After a few minutes, I got up and went downstairs. Kaylee was watching a cartoon with Luke doing his homework next to her. I smiled. It was just a nightmare, that's all. I went to the kitchen and grabbed a water bottle out of the fridge. "Hello. Woah, you look like crap," Luke said, speaking to me. With a laugh, I said "Language' and lightly tapped his head. "You guys use it all the time, though," he pouted. I rolled my eyes and sat down next to him.
"Whatcha watching?" I asked. "I don't know. Kaylee is the only one watching it," Luke stated, focused on homework. "I am not. I find it silly to watch a cartoon at my age," she scoffed. I threw a dirty sock at her, "I enjoy watching cartoons!" She threw the sock back. It became a war. The war stopped when Luke grabbed the sock and threw it into the kitchen. "I'm trying to do homework. Geez, with Lilith at the store, I have to be the responsible one." Kaylee and I bursted out laughing.
