I heard the church bells ring loudly as I slowly walked in. I stopped before the pedestal where Adam was standing before the pedestal, admiring the stainglass paintings on the windows.
I stepped up. Now I was standing before the pedestal, opposite Adam.
"Zoesha Silver?" He asked me.
"Yes?" I said.
"Do you have any objection to this wedding?" He asked me.
"No sir." I replied.
The same was said to Adam.
We took our vows, and now it was time for the last.
"Zoesha Silver, Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?" He asked me.
"Yes, I do." I said, as happy as ever.
"Adam Hawthorn, do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?" The priest said.
I expected Adam to be happy and answer right away, but he shivered and turned to me.
"I'm sorry, Zoe, I..I can't do this!" He stammered.
I didn't reply.
I just stood there with my mouth half open. I didn't want to speak to him.
I just held my dress and took off.
I ran out of the church without looking back. Mother screamed for me to wait but I just darted into the village.
I ran until I reached the woods.
I sat down under a tree and sobbed.
It was around 7:00 pm.
It was getting dark. I wanted to go back home, but I couldn't. Especially after today.
The moon came up. I knew it wasn't safe to be in a forest at this time, but I stayed. I decided to let it go and sleep.
I rested my head on the soft moss beside me and fell asleep.

The dream I had was the worst ever.
"Zoesha Silver! The rejected girl!" Yelled my father.
"Zoesha, I didn't expect this." My mother added critically.
"Zoesha Silver!" Shouted the priest. "You have been rejected on the day of your wedding after the vows. You will remain single for life. Any man who dares to marry you, will suffer eternal pain!"
I looked at mother.
"You deserve it." She told me.
I was terrorised.
I then walked towards an empty room where I found a rope.
I tied the rope to a latch in the ceiling.
I tied the other end to my throat. I tightened it so hard, I could feel my heart beating. As I took my last breath, I thought about Adam. I choked.
"Adam!" My last word came out with a choke.
The nightmare ended.
