Usagi 83

>>>>CHAPTER 83<<<<

>>>>A Team Seven Reunion<<<<

The clashing of kunai could be heard throughout the forests, the clinking metal guiding those who were on a search toward what they were searching for.

"Sasuke! Usagi!" Sakura yelled, her voice wavering as she raised her volume.

The two were covered in cuts and bruises, both on the verge of killing one another.

Sakura knew that her two Uchiha teammates had never really gotten along, but to think they would willingly beat each other just a second after it seemed like they were working together? She really didn't understand them at all. Maybe Usagi had fallen just as low as Sasuke had...

She hated how even though they hated each other, they were still so close. Usagi had something Sakura would never have. Usagi was an Uchiha, someone who knew the same pain as Sasuke. She hated how close they were, even though they claimed to despise one another.

Sakura had always been jealous of that fact, and watching them fight was only solidifying their feelings further. They were equals, and Sakura was nothing.

There was no way she could break up the fight, but if she had to watch it go on any further, she didn't know what she would do.

Well... it's not like she could do anything. She didn't even have enough strength to kill Sasuke and save him from himself.

Thankfully for her though, the fight was broken up, not by the choice of either participant, but by the choice of the participants' teacher.

Kakashi had shown up, finally having caught up with Sakura. He broke Sasuke and Usagi apart. "What the hell is going on here?"

Usagi immediately pointed at Sasuke. "He started it."

Sasuke wanted to curse hearing that. Even now, she wasn't taking him seriously.

Kakashi let out a sigh. "I don't care who started it, this needs to end." With his eyes almost pleading, Kakashi looked toward the Uchiha. "I hate repeating myself... but I'll say this one last time. Sasuke, stop your obsession with revenge."

Stop? He couldn't stop now. Sasuke laughed at those words, his tone bitter as he spoke. "Stop?! Bring back Itachi. Bring back my mother and father. Bring back my clan! Bring them all back!! Then, I'll stop!!!"

"Sasuke..." Kakashi hated what it had come to. "I don't want to kill you."

Immediately, Usagi gasped. "Dad, no! Y-You can't-"

Was Kakashi really willing to destroy the team he loved so much?

"Don't get in my way, Usagi. Take Sakura and that girl and get out of here."

With her purple eyes sad, she spoke up. "... Are you sure?"

Kakashi looked back at her and smiled. "I'm sure, Usagi." It was smile to mask his pain. "Now, get going."

Team seven meant so much to him, and Usagi knew that. That's why she was wanted to bring Sasuke back so badly, just so she could please her dad. When he was happy, she was happy, but... but if Kakashi was prepared to let go of Team Seven, then Usagi would not protest. After all, no matter what he wanted, she would always be there to help, just as he had done for her.

The three girls moved away, Sakura performing her medical jutsu on Karin once they were out of sight. They weren't so far away that Usagi couldn't sense them, they barely moved that far away at all, actually.
