I was still bullied through school and went to church on Sunday's but I didn't talk to anyone. I didn't make any friends. The next year my mom home schooled me, so I didn't make any friends that year either. I fact I hardly left my house. At the end of the year my mom was fed up with trying to home school three girls all in different grades when summer came we stopped. So techniquely I never finished grade five. My mom decided to put me in a private school our church had. I didn't want to go but it beat staying at home all day not learning anything. On my first day of school I walked in wearing the plane blue and kaki uniform with my short blonde hair pulled back by my headband, and the class of 14 kids stared at me. I didn't make eye contact with any of them as the teacher made us introduce ourselves. I found my name on a desk and sat down. I heard the teacher tell us to write ten things about ourselves that we think she should know. She handed out paper to us and I stared at the paper. It was silent as the other students scribbled away. I took the chance to look around since no one would be looking at me. All the students were wearing the same thing I was. The teacher was short and super skinny with really long black hair in a pony tail. There were seven girls and seven boys in the class. As I looked around at all of them I saw two boys whispering and looking at me. I looked away quickly and soon the teacher called for recess. She collected our papers at the door and I handed mine in quickly walking down stairs to the courtyard where the other kids were playing. I sat down on a plantar and took a deep breath As I watched the boys all gather to play dodgeball. A group of three girls gathered together whispering and giggling. Three other girls were talking to each other nodding in agreement. Then they began to walk over to me. Oh, no. Here it comes. I thought as I tried not to make eye contact. They sat next to me and introduced themselves.
"Hi. My name is Rachel." The bigger girl spoke first.
"I'm Tianna. We're sisters." She said pointing to Rachel. I could see the resemblance.
"And I'm Emily." A skinny girl with glasses and long black hair held out her hand. I shook it hesitantly.
"Want to be friends?" They asked.
"Um, sure?" I was so confused as to why they would ask ma weird question like that, but I didn't want to be a loner again so I went with it.
"Cool. Well, we should explain a few thongs to you." Emily replied ignoring the uncertainty in my answer. "But I'll let Tianna do it. They've been here longer. I only got her last year." She smiled sweetly.
"Okay. So, first of all stay away from those girls. They're bitches." Rachel said pointing to the group of three girls whispering and giggling to each other. I was shocked by her language at a private school but I guess you never know huh.
"Then what does that make you?" I asked. They looked at each other for a moment before Emily responded.
"We just don't fit in their click. We don't have a category." She shrugged.
"Oh. Okay." Nice. I just made friends with more loners I thought. "What about the boys?" I asked seeing them all playing together having fun.
"They all hang out together there's no clicks in there." Rachel spoke up. Then she leaned over to her sister and whispered, "He's looking at you!" Tianna blushed and shoved her sister away.
"He is not! Stop embarrassing me!" They giggled together as they argued whether or not he was staring at her. I looked at Emily confused. She just laughed and pulled me away from the sisters.
"Tianna has had the biggest crush on him since grade three." She shrugged still smiling.
"Who?" I asked looking around at all the boys until I made eye contact with one of the boys who had been looking at me earlier. I snapped out of the stare off when Emily gasped and grabbed my arm turning me around.
"That's him. But it seems like he wasn't staring at Tianna... He's staring at you." She said with wide eyes.
"No he's not!" I tried to turn back around to make sure he wasn't but she pulled me back around.
"You have to promise you're you're not gonna like him! Tianna would be heart broken. Sisters before misters." She looked me in the eyes and squeezed my arms as her grip tightened. "Promise." She demanded.
"Okay. I promise." I rolled my eyes. She sighed and relaxed a while. "God, if Tianna finds out about this she'd be so hurt." She looked sadly at the sisters who were laughing and eating crackers together.
"Find out about what? Nothing even happened." I defended.
"She can't find out that Cade was staring at you!"
Cade?
