(14) Matteo may have a crush

Chapter 14

"So he said yes?"

Finley nodded with a grin of his face.

I was currently talking to Finley about his crush and how he finally asked him out even though I scared the living day lights out of the boy a few weeks ago.

"When is your date?" I asked glancing up from my phone to look at Finley.

"Tomorrow night." He said smiling widely.

"Okay I'll help you pick out your outfit of you need me too."

He nodded and got up quickly, leaving with a smile on his face.

When he left I got a text. I looked down to my phone and saw it was from Safari. A smile immediately formed in my face as I rushed to open the message.

Safari: hey Matty :)

Such a simple message yet it sent my stomach into butterflies and my heart thudding in my chest. Smiling I went to reply, only to erase the message five times before actually sending one to him.

Matteo: hola Safari ;)

I waited patiently on my bed for his reply.

Looking down at my watch I realized it was five minutes later I sighed. What was I doing? I was sitting around waiting on a text message from a guy like some high school girl with a crush. It was hon- wait. Crush?

No. No. No.

I can't have a crush on Safari again. I had one once and look how great that turned out! I couldn't like him. I didn't like him.

Inhaling a deep breath I smiled. I didn't have a crush on him.

Ignoring my bizarre thoughts I rushed to unlock my phone once realizing I got a message from Safari again.

Safari: so I was wondering if maybe u wanted to come over if you weren't busy?

A smile instantly came to my face as I rushed to reply.

Matteo: I'm not busy. I'll be over in five :)

Pressing send I instantly got up and went to the bathroom to fix my hair. I sprayed on some cologne and went out my dorm quickly to Safari's room.

Knocking on his door I patiently waited and shoved my fingers in my pants pockets, suddenly nervous. The door flew open to reveal a shirtless Safari.

My eyes widened in surprise and I immediately looked him up and down. I tried my hardest not to stare at his toned chest for to long but I think I did. When Safari cleared his throat I looked at him and blushed in embarrassment.

'Say something you fool!' I yelled at myself in my head.

"U-uh.. What? you look hot, I couldn't help myself." I said smirking.

Now it was his turn to blush. He looked at his feet before shuffling over so I could come in. I sat on his bed and watched him as he put his shirt on.

When he was done he sat down besides me and took out his laptop. "What do you want to watch?" He questioned.

"Jupiter ascending."

Smiling he brought up the movie and pressed play.

"Look Alice! Go get Avon!" I said to the little girl while pointing over to my roommate.

She giggled and slowly took careful baby steps over to Avon. When she reached him she immediately plopped to the ground. Avery picked her up and swung her around. "Yay! Good job Alice!" He cooed at her while she smiled widely at him.

"Be careful with my sister Avon!" Avery said.

Avon rolled his eyes before sitting her back down in the ground.

"So how have you been Safari?" Grayson said smiling at him widely. Safari smiled back. "I've been okay.. I'm getting better though." He said smiling and glancing at me.

I smiled back and quickly looked over to Avery who was staring at me with a curious gaze.

"What?" I huffed.

He stood up and motioned for me to follow him. I stood up with a long sigh and followed Avery outside the dorm room.

"You like him don't you?" He said with a smirk as he leaned on the closed door. I rolled my eyes and looked away. "I don't.."

Avery laughed and stood up straight. "You totally do." He said. "I mean it makes sense. You guys do have a past together. Well that was until you fucked everything up."

I sighed and decided to come clean. "No need to make me feel bad about it." I muttered. "I mean sometimes I thing he may like me back but I'm not so sure.."

"Just give it a try. You'll never know until you ask."

I nodded knowing he was right. "I- we shall see." I said smiling.

Sorry this is so short! The next update will be coming as soon as I can get it! I just wanted to let you guys know this may be going a little fast paced from here on out because I have some really great unique book ideas ready to be written and not to mention the Epilogue  to 'Most Definitely' has these two boys in it and I'd rather finish this story before completing the epilogue.
