The Lullaby of the Moon(NatsuxReader)

Chapter 6

Recap:
We finally exited the cave and we saw something....huge....

It's some type of monster, it's encased in ice.

Gray came out behind us, saw our shocked faces and asked

"Hey guys, something wrong?"
"Uh....what is THAT??"

Lucy and Gray finally looked up and saw the monstrosity. I turned to see that Gray's expression was more terrified than all of ours. I walked over to him.

"Gray? What's the matter?" He ignored me and said
"That's impossible..."
"What are you...?"
"It's Deliora!"
He walked past us, towards the so called Deliora.

"But how??"
"How could this happen?!"
"Why is this here?!"

So many questions were flowing out of Gray, but none of us understood. We rushed to Gray who was looking at it in pure anger mixed with fear.

"You know what this is?"

Gray tried to answer, only mumbled words came out. I'm pretty sure only Natsu understood. Gray was now tightening his fist and started to sweat.

Well Little Drago it's pretty obvious that he knows what that is....and I'm positive when he last saw it something bad happened....

After Lucy calmed him down she asked if he could share any information on it, Gray told us that it's name is Deliora, the demon of destruction but that's all we could get out of him because we heard footsteps heading in our direction. Don't worry they sound like normal feet and not those huge rat ones. Natsu once again grabbed my hand and we hid in the rocks. From where I was I could see two people come in.....well one of them are. The human one has blue hair and big eyebrows and the other was a dog looking guy, at least he has the decency of having pants on. Big Brows said to Dumb Dog
"I know I heard the voices coming from here...." Dumb Dog only growled in response
"I hate being awake during the day."

M'kay that's just random but true, does he...like the moon? Hush up (y/n) this is the enemy!

And again Dumb Dog only growled in response while rubbing his stomach

Can't get anyone else to do it so he has to do it himself...poor doggie

"So Toby, were you exposed to the moon drip? You've got those pointy ears..."
"I ALREADY TOLD YOU THEY'RE A FASHION STATEMENT, YOU JERK!"

So his name is Toby? Ima stick with Dumb Dog....suits him and I'm pretty sure those ears are attached to you're head buddy.

Big Brows smirked but then said "Relax I was just teasing you."
"You don't have to be so mean about it.."

Moon drip....where have I heard this before?

Then another pair of footsteps was heard and a girl with pink hair and pigtails came in

"Yuka, Toby something terrible has happened..."
"What now Sherry?"
Dumb Dog gave her a wave
"It's Angelica...she's been attacked and I'm sad..."
"YOU KEEP MOPING AROUND BECAUSE SOMEONE BEAT UP YOU'RE STUPID PET RAT?!"

Man this conversation is just getting off topic, I can't help but wonder about the moon drip, I know I've heard about it before and yet...I can't seem to put my finger on it

"Intruders you say?"

They finally caught on

"And it's almost time to begin collecting moon light again, oh this makes me so sad..."

It's almost like she puts her feelings at the end to gain sympathy....that won't work on me

"This news would displease the cold emperor, we should get rid of them before he finds out. Yes...we must find them before the moons first light"

They just practically went on and on about us the intruders, moon drip, cold emperor and Deliora. Every time they speak I just gain more and more questions.

Eventually they left thanks to Happy's distraction

"We should've grabbed one of them and beat some answers out of them."
"Now you're just being too violent..."
"Not yet..."
What do you mean not yet?! And it's coming from you Lucy....
"We've gotta do some investigating."

We all have our own questions, I'm thinking that this S-class quest is getting to difficult with just these three at least Gray was finally telling us more about Deliora, how it was supposed to be somewhere else, sealed away inside a glacier. It appeared a decade ago, it attacked a huge town and countless people had died. The woman who taught Gray how to use his magic, Ur was her name, sacrificed her life in order to keep it contained.

"We have to find this cold emperor and find out who it is. If they try to ruin my master's legacy they are going to regret ever being born!"

Something inside me could feel that this was going to take a quick turn, and not for the better...
