"Kris, listen, I have something really impo-"
I cut him off by saying
"What is it Devine." Accompanied by an eye roll. I spin around to face him with a look of serious disinterest. He grabs my wrist and pulls me a little bit closer to him and he says once again,
"Kristen, I have something really important to tell you."
I roll my eyes overdramatically and say
"Well, Joshua, spit it out" emphasizing the Joshua. Hey, he used my full name (for which he will pay), so I can use his.
"I just wanted to say..." Josh takes my wrist and then my hand, sending a weird shiver thing up my arm, what the cluck? Stay away from electricity, Devine. While I'm too busy thinking weird stuff in my weird head, Josh has moved extremely close to me giving me opportunity to examine his features for the first time. His face is nearly flawless with his blue-grey eyes and slightly styled brown hair framing his face. I didn't notice how close he was. Due to his nearness, I can smell his breath which faintly smells like mouthwash. It's actually quite relaxing. He continues in a whisper
"I kept asking you whether you liked Harry or Niall for a reason..."
I whisper back with a shaky breath "Which is...?"
He leans into my ear and says, barely audible
"I wanted to make sure I wouldn't have any issues making you mine"
I just stand frozen for a while due to what he just told me totally shocking me. I come back to reality and he is standing a still an extreme closeness to where our foreheads are almost touching. I mean what is this? Does he want to poison me? Basically we are just exchanging carbon-dioxide right now, but that doesn't stop me from flickering my eyes down to his lips and back up to his eyes, when I notice he does the same. I begin to lean in and he does likewise. Just before our lips meet, I see a smile flicker across his face, and I can't help but smile back as sparks fly throughout my veins. When you kiss someone is it like getting an adrenaline shot? Because that's what it feels like to me. We stay there locked in embrace for a little while stopping for oxygen once in a while. Once we're separated for good, I just hug him burying my head in the crook of his neck. I breathe in his cologne and I feel a weird vibration and I realize he is laughing. I stand up straight and look at him with a raised eyebrow
"What?" I say
"I guess that's a 'me too'?" he says cheekily
"You bet your ass it is." I say with a small smirk.
We walk back to his prius that was parked outside Niall's and the boys' house hand in hand. This should be interesting.
