Chapter 3- That One Person

After that commotion she pulled she was getting on my last nerve. I just wanted to get up and kick her ass. She's the one that needed to be put in her place. After that I had music class I had to choose an instrument to play I decided to try out the clarinet. I then figured out that I was actually good at it. I had to play a song and show it to the teacher so that she could agree with the instrument or not. Then if she didn't I would have to choose another one. She heard me play and said that it would be okay if I played it. After that I had a couple more classes such as math, science, reading, and a free period. It was the last period of the day which was gym.

I went into the coaches office and she handed me some black shorts and a black top. When I finished getting ready I headed to the gym. I was the last one to get to the gym, that's when some guy came in I guess I wasn't the only one late. When I turned to him he was already staring at me. I felt something strange like if I already new him. He started to come in deeper into the gym when coach said "Cameron your late again you can't keep doing this anymore. You need to be here on time or this time I'll count you tardy and you won't be able to play any sport." I did know him I knew that name I just couldn't remember. "Class we have a new classmate this is April, please show her some respect and help her if she needs it."

When the coach introduced me to the class he was staring at me like if he was shocked. I could tell that he recognized me or actually new me. He started heading towards me, when he got close enough to me he leaned in and kissed me. When I figured out what he was doing I slapped him across the face. Everybody that was in the gym stared at me like wtf did she just do. I believe he was the most popular guy in school and I just slapped him . Then all of a sudden that bitch that thinks she's all that came up to us and said "babe she's not even worth it she's a pathetic nerd." Then he said "shut up Hannah you don't even know what your talking about." It's true I am a nerd you shouldn't be talking to me, I'm in the lower class. "I need to talk to you Apple I mean April, you don't even know me leave me alone let me remind you again I don't know you and you don't know me.

"Fine just give me 5 minutes after school plzzz." Fine but after that I don't want you to talk to me anymore. "I can't promise that to you and you know that." No I don't I don't know you please stop saying that you do know me cuz you don't and you will never. "No I know you know who I am why are you doing this you mean the world to me. Stop pushing me away it's been years that I don't know anything about you. And I won't let you go I need you and I miss you. Your the one person I want to always be with, and I know you want the same by how you look at me. You look at me the same you did years ago I'm not going to let you go ever again without a fight and you should know that." Stop you don't know me and you will never I don't want anything to do with you I've had enough.

"Apple please I'm sorry I wasn't their for you but I know that I can always be their for you now. I'm not to let you push me away anymore you did that before but now I know that I can't let you go we were best friends and you left without saying anything. When you moved you never talked to me again I went to your house and the only person their was your brother. He always told me you weren't worth it. He also said things about you like you deserve to be treated like shit and abused. He also said that you did something that wasn't forgive able and that one day you would pay when you came back. I told him that if he laid a hand on you I would kill him and that's a promise." Cameron please I think your confusing me with someone else. I've never met you before and I'm glad that you would help but I'm not that girl.

So please just leave me alone we shouldn't even be talking your a higher class then me and you need to go back to your world. Which is be a jock and whatever they do you seem nice but I'm not like other girls. I'm very different I don't like to go to parties or have sex with every guy I meet. I study for hours and I work and I take care of my daughter. Theirs a lot of things going on with my life and your not one of them now please just leave me alone. As many people have told you I'm not worth it. I started to head back to the coach to see what we were going to do today. When I was heading over their everybody kept staring or whispering to each other. Some were talking about how I got banged and now with a child and that I was a slut, whore, bitch and many other things. I had to do what I new how to do best which was ignore their stupid comments.

Coach started talking she said we were going to run or walk two miles and that it would be timed. When she said to start I started to run, I was really a fast runner since when I had lived with my brother before I moved out. I would always go running to avoid all my feelings and the abuse. When came back to reality the coach told me to stop. When I stopped I told her I still needed to do my other mile. Then she said sweetie you already ran 4 miles in lest then 10 minutes. I froze when she said that and I told her really, I wasn't really paying attention. Ms. Daniels you have to join cross country your the best runners in the school. I've never seen someone run like you do and I've noticed you don't pay attention when your running but you concentrate on something and you let your mind free.

Thank you but I don't think I can do it I have to much going on in my life I have to go to school, work and take care of my daughter and I need to try and give her everything see needs. I need her to have a better future then me and she's the only one I need to worry about sorry coach. It's okay sweetie just think about it and if you decide to do it let me know. Also if you do decide to join it their is a prize at the end if you make it finals it 50,000 dollars. So please just think it over, you can already head to the Locker room to get changed and you can leave ain't it's the last period of the day. Okay thank you coach have a wonderful day, you to sweetie take care of your self and your daughter. If you ever need anything don't hesitate to look for me even if it's for a simple thing sweetie. I headed to the locker room and grabbed my clothes to change back to my clothes from earlier.

After I got changed I headed to the parking lot. I was waiting for Hannah to get out so we could go and go to my job. People started to come out when one particular person came out and he saw me. He headed towards me and I couldn't run since I had to wait for Allison.

Cameron's P.O.V

When I was done doing the two miles I walked to the locker room to get dressed. When I was finished I headed back to the gym to look for Apple but she was nowhere to be seen. Then I started to walk towards the coach and I asked her have you seen April I need to talk to her. "Sorry Mr. Fields but she left a long time ago." Why did she leave a long time ago did she not do the miles. "Mr. Fields she didn't do two she did four and I talked to her. About that she needed to join the cross country team but she said she was to busy. I told her she could leave since she finished before anybody." Dang wow she is a fantastic runner and okay thank you. I headed to the parking lot to see if she was still their and thankfully she was. She saw me and it looked like she was going to run but decided to stay.

But she did turn around, I headed to her. I started to tell her that we needed to talk and that it was very important to talk.
