Fantasy or Love?

*REILLY P.O.V*

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing as loud as it possibly could have. I groaned loudly still half asleep. I rolled over feeling around on my nightstand for my cell phone. I opened one eye and looked at the face hopping up and down on my screen. Kelsey. My best friend.

I sat up and answered the phone with a groggy,

"Hello?"

"HI REILLY!" She loudly squeaked in my ear. Kelsey was always in a good mood, but unfortunately the only thing I was thinking about was plopping back down on my bed and falling back asleep, seeing as though it was raining and dark outside. Perfect for sleeping in my opinion. I looked over at the clock, it read 2:30 pm. Jesus. I didn't know it was that late.

"Hi Kelsey." I said yawning immediately afterwards.

"I'm outside, come let me in." I could hear the patter of the rain in the background. What was she doing here?

"K. Hold on." I hung up and groaned not wanting to get out of bed. I rolled lazily out of my bed anyways and slowly made my way down stairs.

Once I had made it to the door I opened it to a smiling Kelsey. She flashes an innocent smile as I moved aside letting her come in. I yawned once again before saying,

"Hey Kelsey. I thought you weren't coming over until 4 or 5." We both walked over to the couch and sat down.

"Yeah well I was out and it started storming really badly so I thought I'd just come on over-" She looked around and when her eyes travelled back to me she cracked a small laugh.

"Did you just wake up?" She asked me still grinning widely.

"Yeah. I was tired. I had to run around all day with my mom yesterday finding that dress for her co workers dinner party then I stayed up until like 2 in the morning with Cameron so I was tired, plus it's raining."

Our living room and kitchen were open concept so I walked over to the kitchen and grabbed us both a bottle of water. I handed her one as I sat back down. I broke the silence after a second and asked her,

"So what'd you do today?" Her eyes widened as she sighed and replied,

"Welllllll... this morning I went with my mom to pick out all the dresses for the bridesmaids, her dress, and mine. After we did that we all went out to eat, that's when it started raining so I dropped my mom off and decided to just come on by while I was out." I nodded.

"Well I'm glad ya did-" I let out a laugh, "-but I know I look like a wreck so I'm gonna go shower. Maybe by then the rain will be cleared up and we can go pick out movies and snacks for later." I smiled and started making my way towards the stairs.

"Alrightttttttt, sounds good. I'll be down here." I nodded before making my way up the stairs.

I grabbed a towel and turned the shower on before stripping down and hopping in the shower. The hot water felt perfect against my skin.

*KELSEY P.O.V*

Reilly was my best friend and tomorrow was her birthday. She was turning nineteen. I had promised her I wasn't going to throw her a surprise party, as last years actually didn't turn out well, so really and truly it was a relief for both of us. The thing was that I still hadn't settled on what we were going to do tomorrow. It was between going to the lake and hanging out with a few close friends or treating her to a day at the spa and then shopping and eating afterwards.

Reilly is my absolute best friend and I loved her to death. She was always there for me and I wanted to make sure she was given a good birthday. She has been through a lot and I honestly think she deserves it. I was interrupted from my thoughts to my phone ringing. It was an un known number, I picked up and said,

"Hello?"

A very familiar Irish accent answered me and replied,

"Hello is this Kelsey Reed?" I almost fell off of the couch by the sound of his voice. It couldn't be.....

"Y-ee-s." I stuttered.

"Hello Kelsey, this is Niall Horan-" I gasped right then and there not being able to barely breathe. Where was the air? I was freaking out. It couldn't be. This was a joke, this was a prank. I was not talking to Niall Horan.

"A-nnd-" I stated slowly stuttering, not even knowing what to say, but trying to sound normal.

"And you are the winner of the One Direction contest you signed up for on your local radio station. You get two free tickets to our concert in Dallas, Texas as well as passes to our sound check and of course, you get to spend a whole day with me and the lads tomorrow."

I couldn't believe what was coming out of his mouth. I wanted to cry but I didn't even think I could bring myself to that. My heart was racing and I was so over whelmed with emotions. This was un real... This was amazing.

"Than-n-k you. Thank you so much-" It was like a light bulb lit up above my head, you know like in the movies when someone gets an idea. I continued and said,

"But can I ask you something?" I said, actually pulling off somewhat of a casual tone.

"Yeah. Of course. What's the question?"

"I know it's a lot to ask, but I'm gonna go out on the line and ask anyways..." I sighed and continued,

"It's my best friends birthday tomorrow, and she absolutely loves you guys too... And again if it's not too much to ask I would like to see if maybe she could be included in what we do tomorrow. Or if she can't than maybe she can go instead of me." It was a lot to ask but the worst they could possibly do is say no.

I thought that this would ultimately be the perfect birthday present. Not only that, it would be the best day ever... For both of us.

"Well Miss Kelsey, I don't exactly know if we can do that. I think it's really sweet that you would do that for your friend-" He took a pause then continued,

"But umm... I'll check with the lads and discuss a few things with our management. I don't see as why we couldn't do it." This was so amazing. They were actually going to consider it. And well, if all else fails one of us can still go and I'd let Reilly. I know this would mean a lot to her. Before I could respond he said,

"I'll go do that right now and I should be back to you with an answer in the next hour." I smiled at his words and replied back,

"Thank you so much Niall. Thank you thank you thank you, you honestly don't know how much it means to me that your even going to ask." I was getting a little choked up. I felt the sting of tears in my eyes as all of this was just to much for me to handle.

"Your welcome. I'll get back to you." At that he hung up and the conversation was over.

Okay ellloooooo everyone. So I really do think this chapter kinda sucks but I mean it's the first chapter soooooo... I really think it's gonna get better from here and I really hope you'll stick around to read itttttt... And if you DID read it thanks so much! It means a lot even if you didn't like it. So it's almost four in the morning at tha moment and I just wrote the first chapter to a Fanfic instead of sleeping like a normal person. Oh welllllllll. Thanks again and I hope you liked it :D
