Trapped In A Fanfic

Chapter Four: Mangled

Amelia, Bob, Maple, and Jack flew out of the portal, landing on a patch of soft grass in the middle of a park. Shortly after, Mark followed suit and landed on top of Amelia. Amelia swore at him under her breath, and Mark rubbed the back of his head. "H - Hey, guys... It's great that we're together, so you can totally check out my super - strong biceps!!"

Bob questioned Mark angrily, "Where were you in that last boss fight?! It would have been helpful to have you with us!! Dark was kicking our asses, and where were you?! Picking daisies in a flower field?!?"

Mark stood up to his full height and yelled, "No I wasn't! I was in a big room, and there were these generator things that I destroyed because the robot woman said that I should! What were you doing?!"

"Woah, woah, woah, slow down. What room are you talking about? And what sort of generators? What were they powering?" Maple reasoned.

Suddenly, Amelia's eyes widened and she bent down to the grass. Quietly, she whispered, "Guys, get down! Quickly, I can hear someone coming!"

Everyone huddled atop the floor, and Maple could hear someone coming closer to their hiding spot. The voice sounded familiar, like she had heard it before.

    A male voice comes from the other side of the bushes. "Poor kid. I don't want her to be anymore hurt than she is now... And now that Mark's dead, it's even harder for her..."

    Amelia clasped one hand over her mouth, and Maple's eyes widened. This is...! Bob said what they were all thinking out loud. "Is that... NateWantsToBattle?!?"

    The voice on the other side paused for a second, then resumed clacking away at his phone. "I feel bad... There should be something I can do for her..."

    Amelia motioned the group together, and whispered, "We're in my fanfic, Mangled! Oh my god, I just realized that there's a serial killer loose in this story!!"

    Jack looked at the rest of the group worriedly and asked, "What are going to do?!"

    Amelia stood up and proclaimed, "We won't let anyone get near Nate-senpai! Not a single... oh, hi there, Nate and person I don't know who's dressed in all black..."

    Maple stood up near her friend, and Mark, Jack, and Amelia followed suit. Amelia said, "Guys, that's the assassin! Quick, get her away from Nate, because if she kills him, the story won't exist!!!"

    The five friends jumped into action, each one protecting a side of Nate. Nate stared at the group and inched away from them. Unfortunately for him, the serial killer jumped out at him from behind a tree, scaring the living daylights out of him. He screamed in terror and fled the scene, leaving the five friends with the assassin.

Bob shot a rapid fire assault of lemon bombs at the assassin, which the assassin dodged easily, and jumped at Maple, knocking her to the ground. Amelia shouted, "Hey, you big loofa! Over here! Bet you can't catch me!"

The assassin took this as a challenge and ran after Amelia. Amelia smiled and easily dodged the attack, leaving a purple trail in her wake. Confused, the person in black stood there, allowing Jack to come in from behind and blast him with his Septic eyes.

Not one to give up without a fight, Maple struggled to her feet, only to be forced back down by an explosion of pink mustache power from Mark. She watched helplessly as her friends took on the assassin by themselves,  leaving her just sitting there. Sadly, she wondered, If everything is already done by these four, then why am I here?

The robot lady's voice broke her trail of thought with a automated "Y O U  H A V E  C O M P L E T E D  L E V E L  T W O.  N E X T  L E V E L  L O A D I N G . . . P L E A S E  W A I T . . ."

A black and white vortex appeared beneath each of their feet, pulling them down into a different fanfic.
