Chapter Two

Megan slept the entire 17-hour ride back to LA while Jake drove with his bike on the trailer he was pulling with Megan's Blazer. They left at about 12:00 in the afternoon and didn't arrive until about 1:00 the next afternoon and poor Jake drove the entire time.

"Wake up, we're here." Jake said gently nudging Megan's knee. Megan woke up to see that they were parked in the parking garage. Richie and Logan came into view because they came down to help with Megan's stuff.

"Richie!" Megan nearly threw him to the ground as she hugged him and then Logan.

"I'm assuming your mom said yes." Richie said as they began grabbing boxes.

"Yes, I had already signed up for the school so either way I was doing online school."

"Oh, happy late birthday." Logan said and Megan giggled when she felt Jake staring at her.

"Oooooh, now I see." Richie chimed in making Megan giggle once again.

"Shut up."

They carried the boxes up to the apartment and by the time they were done, pizza had arrived because Jake complained about being hungry. Megan felt happier now that she was back with Jake and in a place she enjoyed much better than being out in the country in a town she hadn't grown up in. She was born in LA and it was a place she felt comfortable in. Her phone vibrated and she looked down to see that Leah sent her a text.

From The BFF: Settle in yet?

To The BFF: Yeah but still have some unpacking to do

Megan went back to eating with guys before having to unpack everything. Jake gave her some room in his dresser and in his closet because she needed the space. As Megan stood in the door way, she smiled when she felt a pair of arms wrap around her from behind. A sigh escaped her mouth as she felt Jake's lips on her neck.

"You think that just because it happened once, I'll give it up again?" Megan asked with a smile on her face.

"Hmm, I was hoping." Jake replied. Megan turned around and wrapped her arms around Jake's waist and kissed him. His hand cupped her cheek and his other arm wrapped around her waist.

"Well nope, I got stuff I have to do. "Megan pecked his lips and walked over to the bed and plopped with a smirk on her face.

"You can't tease a guy like that." DJ didn't look up from her laptop but still had a smirk on her face.

Later on the afternoon, Jake came back in just to mess with Megan but he found her asleep in bed with Duke curled up next to her. Quietly, Jake slipped into the bedroom and closed her laptop before setting it on the table. He went to walk out of the bedroom but was stopped when he heard a noise.

"You could have woken me up." Megan mumbled as she threw her arm over Duke who didn't even budge.

"You looked tired so I didn't wanna wake you." Jake replied as he walked over to the bed and plopped down on his back in between Megan and the wall.

"Then stay here and cuddle with me."

"Not arguing with that." Jake adjusted to where he was level with Megan and threw his arm over her.

"Can I have my dog back?" Richie asked opening Jake's bedroom door. Megan smirked and gently pushed Duke of the bed.

"Now?" Jake asked making Megan look back at him. She pulled him down and she kissed him feeling a sudden urge to take farther but she had to stop herself.

"As much as I want to, not until we're alone." Megan replied and smiled when Jake groaned. She knew that Richie was probably in his room. "Go lock your door." Jake smiled and quickly ran over and locked his door.
