Nadia couldn't believe how many months it has been since her and Damien left Hillcrest Manor, or she corrected herself, what was left of Hillcrest Manor. They made their final good-byes to their friends Nicholas and Elizabeth and headed back to her home at the gypsy encampment just outside London. She had been born and raised there and has lived with her maternal grandmother ever since her parents died when she was very young. Her grandmother taught her all the ways of the gypsies including all the different spells that was such a part of their culture. She will never forget the day she first met Elizabeth who was sitting in their wagon listening intently on what her grandmother was seeing in her crystal ball. Suddenly she waved her hand for her to come closer to the table. She introduced her to Elizabeth and told them both that they would go on a long journey together. A very dangerous journey but the fate of the world depended on them accomplishing this monumental task that only they could deal with. Nicholas who was also present sat listening quietly not sure of what to make of all her grandmother was telling them. Now her grandmother gave each of them protection amulets to wear at all times. That they would meet up with a demon who had turned away from the dark side and would help them complete their task or die trying. Never in a million years would she have believed that this demon, named Damien would be her true love of her life and would marry him when they succeeded in their mission. Damien, her Damien. How she loved him so. Now she was going to have his child. Who knows what it will look like especially if it takes after its father? But she didn't care, she would love their child with all her heart, forever. And hopefully they would have many more sons and daughters in the future.
"Are you daydreaming again, Nadia?" Damien asked when he entered their wagon.
"Well, kind of. I was just thinking about how we met and all of the horrible things we had to endure during that time. I am so happy that we all survived and that we ... fell in love," she said now embarrassed at speaking of love with him. He didn't really understand the ways of humans but he tried at every turn to learn and to fit in with them.
Looking up at him from where she was seated, "you know my time is very near. I could deliver our child any day now. I do so wish Elizabeth and Nicholas could be here. I truly love both of them, they are family to me now."
Damien looked at Nadia for a few moments before he spoke. "Have you spoken to your grandmother about this?" He asked, now staring intensely at her face.
"No. You know how the gypsies feel about outsiders staying in our camp. I just thought it would anger her if I asked permission for them to come." A lone tear tinkled down her cheek as she told him this.
Damien reached out and wiped the tear drop from her face, rubbing it between his thumb and fingers. "You are sad. I do not want you to ever be sad. If it means that much to you then I will go speak with her myself." He said and then turned and left the wagon immediately heading over to her grandmother's wagon. She just shook her head. He was so determined to make her happy any way he could. She was blessed the day they met. Now they could live in peace here with the gypsies who had accepted him for what he was and didn't hold it against him for being a demon. After all, he was a good demon and if he hadn't been along on their dangerous journey she really didn't think any of them would have survived, let alone complete their task.

Her grandmother was stilling in her wagon when Damien pounded loudly on her door and then walked in. "You could have at least waited for me to ask you in before you just barge in like that." She said, somewhat aggravated at the disruption. She hoped some day he would learn some manners.
"Nadia needs Elizabeth and Nicholas to come here, immediately. She wants them both present when she delivers our child." He stated bluntly, leaving no room for her to deny his request.
