Chapter 13

*** James Point Of View***

**Knocks on door** "Yes? Oh hello James how are you? Why do you have such a grim look on your face? Oh and just to let you know, Vlad isn't home yet but I will let you know when he comes home." Vlad's older brother Alex said when he answered the door. " I'm fine Alex, thank you, but you don't need to tell me when Vlad comes home."

"Really? How so?"

"Well you see Alex I have bad news and good news to tell you."

"Oh? Well what's the bad news?"

"The bad news? Well the bad news is that Vlad got hurt really bad, and has lost a lot of blood."

"WHAT!!"

"Yeah, ah long story."

"Well then what would the good news be? After hearing the bad news, I doubt it be good."

"Actually to me it’s really good news. Anyways the good news is, Vlad's still alive and has only fainted from the blood lost, and also that his other friends and I were able to bandage him up to keep him from bleeding more blood."

"Well, when you put it that way... I guess that's good news. So where is he?"

"Right here." I said as I stepped aside to reveal a passed out Vlad being carried by Mike and Robert, two of me and Vlad's friends. Seeing this, made Alex kind of sigh when he saw his younger brother, but then frown when he saw all of the bandages over Vlad's arms, legs, and chest. "Well thank you for bringing him home, but I kind of feel bad."

"Why do you say that?"

"Because my dad's going to flip out when he sees the condition that Vlad is in."

"Oh, that is true, which is why I hoped that whoever answered the door would be either you, or Thomas, and not Mihail, Astrine or your dad." ( mainly because they are not nice to Vlad and would have made a comment about what happened.)

"Heh, yah true that would have been bad. Well why don't you guys come in and set Vlad down on the long couch. And I will go get Thomas and some pillows."

"Ok, you go do that, wait... Thomas is here?"

"Yeah, Alex said as he started to walk in the direction of the stairs. “He's in his room listening to music."

"Oh, ok." I said as I showed Mike and Robert were to put Vlad (Mainly because they've never been inside Vlad's house.) Once we did that, Alex was back down stairs with some black pillows and Vlad's other older brother Thomas right on his heels. "So Vlad got hurt?" Thomas said in a slightly interested tone, as his slightly Romanian accent showed. "Yeah, he did." I said back.

"How did he get hurt? He looks like he's been attacked by some type of animal or something." Thomas stated.

"Ah, well he wasn't attacked by an animal."

"Oh? Then what attacked him?" Alex said as he put pillows behind Vlad's head and feet.

"Well you see, you know the Lucas's from across the street?"

"Yes." Alex and Thomas said at the same time.

"Well Vlad wanted revenge for all the trouble their daughter has put him through."

"And?"

"Well he found a way to get her to meet him after school. At the basketball courts."

"Go on."

"And well, well he picked a fight with her."

"Oh, that's interesting."

"I guess, I mean last time he did a lot of damage to her, but this time it was different, he was only able to rip open her left shoulder. While well you can see obviously what she did."
