The sun suddenly shined into my closed eyes, causing me to open my eyes. The warmth of the sun rising grazed my fur and sunk in as I raised to my paws, opening my jaw and letting out a big yawn, curling my thin tongue.
I blinked a few times, still surprised by the bright light. I twitched my ears a bit, looking over to the other tigers in my bowl. They were new, I knew this. Imported from some other place like this.
The two were bigger than me, I was very small. I hadn't grown much anyways, refusing to eat after my mother and father were shipped away.
I watched the slightly bigger tiger-the male-stretch up to his paws and look around. His eyes fixed on me, and he trotted over. I glared at him, the wet land squishing against his thick paws. "Hello there, Taliku." He muttered, raising his front leg and licking it. I didn't reply, only slowly turning away and trotting around, waiting for feeding time. The male tiger growled.
The female trotted over, behind the male, and glanced at me, sneezing. "Ignore him, Ochaila. He's just not accepting us as his mother and father yet." She yawned. Ochaila nodded slightly, rolling his eyes.
I sighed, knowing that what she had remarked was true. I will not and never accept them. I need my real mother and father back.
