Prologue

She waited inside her car outside her family's home, she didn't tell them she was coming back and she hadn't talked to them in a while. She was scared they wouldn't remember her, that they pushed her out of their minds. Maybe she should just leave now instead of moving back in with her family. What if they don't even want her here since she never tried to contact them.

Sapphire vigorously hit the steering wheel trying to gain up the courage to get her ass out of the car. She came up with all these conclusions that she was seconds away from driving off.

"Sapphire, get you ass out of this car now. They probably miss you. Go!" She tried to prep talk herself which actually worked because she got up and out of the car, walking over to the door. It took her a couple seconds before she finally knocked on the door. She just stared at the door with anticipation and anxiety moving through her veins. They went away when John Stilinski opened the door making eye contact with the brunette.

"Sapphire?" He asked with amazement in his eyes. All she did was nod before she was pulled into a huge bear hug with her father. She wrapped her arms tightly around him, tears brimming her eyes. She really missed this.

"Dad, who was at the d-" Stiles said before he saw who it was. His mouth dropped to the floor before the brunette ran up the stairs and jumped into her brothers arms. He pulled her into a tighter hug then her father had. And before Sapphire realized it, she was full on crying into her brothers shirt.

" Oh my gosh, I missed you so much" She said through muffled tears.
" I missed you both so much." She said releasing her brother and looking over at John.

"What are you doing here? What took you so long to come back?" Stiles asked from behind her, following her and his father into their living room.

"I'm sorry. I was taking my time, as you could see, getting over mom." She smiled weakly, wiping away her tears.

"I'm just glad to have you back Saff. Me and Stiles really missed you." Her dad said pull her into another hug. She pulled away and looked over at Stiles before walking over and giving him another hug. She was so glad that she didn't drive away and came up to the house. She hooked her arm around her brothers waist and looked at her father.

"Dad," She said tightening her hold on Stiles for comfort "I'm glad to be back."
Sapphire smiled, leaning her head on her brother, happy to be back in the house where she grew up in. She doesn't regret at all for coming back. The pain of mom being gone still hurt but she was dealing with it the best that she could.

"Well, it's late. Before I go to bed I will reenroll you in the high school and you can sleep in the guest room that will soon be yours." John smiled and turned away to go do as he said. Once he exited the room she turned and got in front of Stiles.

"So baby bro, hows life been? What's been happening while I was gone?" She said punching lightly at Stiles shoulder.
Stiles knew he shouldn't say anything about everything supernatural that had happened in Beacon Hills just to keep her out of harms way and safe.

"Well, here in Beacon Hills? Um yeah, nothing. It's just a boring little town, nothing ever happens here." He smiled not making eye contact just in case she could tell he was lying.

"Okay.. Anyways. Be the gentleman of the house and show your older sister to her "soon-to-be-room" She giggled before jumping onto her brothers back.

"I thought you said show you, not carry you." Stiles said, trying to regain balance.

"Well, I changed my mind. Suck it up and carry me to me room." She smiled into his neck, being happier then she had even been in her life. Coming back to Beacons Hills was the best idea she had ever made.

Or so she thinks.
