A Singing Chance

Prologue

It was a dark and stormy night, the tires splashed as it drove across the wet road. The headlights were bright and powerful against the night's darkness. The radio was on and the passenger in the car was singing along to it. It was the daughter's favorite song and her father always encouraged her to sing, for that was her superstar talent along with playing the acoustic guitar.

The lyrics were soft but she knew the song by heart, but little did she know that it would be the last time she would ever sing again. The daughter nor father noticed the drunk driver going 80 mph right behind them, the father noticed-but it was too late.

The car slammed into them at full speed and sent their car flying into the air and it skitted across the ground.It was a hit-and-run, when the police and ambulence arrived on the scence the driver was long gone and the father was dead. It was a miracle the daughter survived but she was never the same again.

She would always have a long ugly scar go diagonally across her face,the scars she received on her body would forever remain on her skin as a reminder of the night, and she would never forget the horror on her father's face when he saw the car raced toward them. She never spoke again( she blamed herself that if she wasn't singing her father would still be alive) but if she did talk it was soft and you could barely hear it.

She locked away her guitar and swore to herself that she would never, ever play the guitar again or sing. It was her way of punishing herself because the only thing that could make her truly happy was playing and singing in front of her friends and family. She was depressed, she barely ate a tiny scrap of food, she wore dark baggy clothes, never smiled, and never sang.

Her name was Bianca Alejandra Mathew, the car accident happened when she was 12 years old and she never sang a single thing and alway spoke as soft as a summer breeze. That was until she met Jason Thompson.
