"No." I hold back my ground. No I am not going to follow her this time. I'm too young for this, and I think she went a little overboard with this...desicion she made for me "No?" My mum laughs from the other side, "what do you mean no? Honey, I hate to break it to you but the papers are right here in front of me"
I grip the phone tightly into my hands, almost letting it slip from my touch while struggling to focus on the road. With her voice ringing in my ears I don't think I could multi task. Gritting my teeth, I said "I am only eighteen mother, I am not going to marry someone at this young age, I don't want to marry someone I barely know and will never know. And most importantly I certainly don't want to marry someone I don't love"
She chuckles, finding something funny about what I said. Was there something funny? This woman is nuts. I don't even know how we had the same blood.
"Mind I remind you again Alexandria Brentwood, I have the papers here and think of it as a favour that I'm signing the papers for you" her venom voice tells me.
The tears roll down on my cheeks "No" my voice was barely heard. "You're insane! Why can't you just leave me be? And give me my own freedom? For goodness sake mother, I am eighteen not eight" I shout.
I could practically imagine my mother rolling her eyes right where she was standing when she said this "I have no time for your tantrum, just get back here and let's get this thing done with" and she hangs up
Shaking my head, "how dare she?" I let out a frustrated groan and stepped on the pedal, completely forgetting that it was still a red light and before I knew it, a large truck horns in front of me. And the next thing I remember was darkness taking over me.
