Brian hopped back in the car with a smirk on his face, "where to lil sis?" he said as he turned on the 1998 ford ranger.
"surprise me big bubby," I smirked in reply. He knew I hated lil sis, I knew he hated big bubby.
"lets go to the beach?" he said smiling, "I want to learn to surf!" Brian added mimicking these surfing arms.
I began to laugh, "how about no?" his face fell which made me erupt into giggles. "lets go to the lake house?"
he smiled "as you wish princess, this trips on you."
As we drove down the interstate on the four hour drive to his family's lake house, I plugged in my phone into his stereo system and started to sing along with Foo Fighters as the blasted out my favorite song.
What if I say I'm not like the others, what if I say I'm not just another one of your games you're the pretender! What if I say I will never surrender.
Brian decided to join in at that point, thinking I was loud enough to drown him out. I suddenly stopped to here him belt out the next few lines quite off key. he turned to glare at me, "You stopped singing!"
I smiled and laughed at him adding, "and you didn't." winking at him. "since when have you started listening to them anyway? last time I hung out with you, you didn't even know the chorus, now you know the verses?"
"I MAY have started to listen to them recently," he answered blushing slightly.
"Oh my god, you like someone!!!" I blurt out as he turns a bright shade of pink.
"N-no, of course not!" Brian stammered.
"then why are you blushing so much?" I teased, poking his arm.
"just drop it ok? It'll never happen anyway so just leave it, please." He said looking down, shying away from my hand.
"Alright, sorry. Any girl would be lucky to have you though, just saying," i replied smiling at him as I placed my hand back in my lap and continued to watch the dark streets go by.
I don't know when I feel asleep I just remember him pushing my arm telling me that we were there. I reached up to wipe my eyes and didn't realize until I felt the dampness hit my fingertips I had been crying. I quickly wiped the tears away and hoped out of the truck grabbing my bag from its bed. "Took us long enough Mr. I have to go the speed limit."
"Oh hush miss lead foot, I'm a great driver," he teased smiling at me.
"At least I don't take forever," I mumbled opening the door and trudging up the stairs plopping down in Brian's sister's room, tossing my bag in the corner. I pulled off my combat boots, dropping them to the floor with a thunk, then pulling off my jeans and bra tossing them on top of my bag. I curled up under the covers as was out like a light.

I was walking down a beach holding Roberts hand we were laughing and smiling. I had a ring on my finger as our hands swung back and our feet running through the water. I looked at him when all of a sudden he was gone, in his place was a gravestone and in my hand were his dog tags.

I woke up bawling smothering my tears in Jen's pillow, I made a mental not to wash them before we left. I sat up wiping my eyes again before checking the alarn clock on Jen's bedside tablr, which read 8:30. I knew Brian wouldn't be up for at least two hours I decided to go for a run grabbing my tennis shoes and earphones I opened the door to the brisk autumn air and began to jog.
I arrived back at the house about 45 minutes later and went straight upstairs to shower. I toweld off before throwing on some comfy sweats and my old marching band shirt and heading.downstairs to make some breakfast for Brian and I.
scouring the all but empty cabinets, I managed to fine some pancake mix and chocolate chips. I made enough of them to give Brian and I four each, knowing full well we'd both eat all four. I loaded his onto a plate and carried it, along with my plate, silverware, and the syrup, up to his room. I used my foot to open the door all ninja-like and set everything down on his desk before getting right next to him and scream BOO!!! He jumped straight out of bed screaming, before composing himself and shooting me a glare. "oh don't make such a fit, I made you food," I giggled passing him his plate. Neither of us ended up using the syrup and it ended up staying on his desk.
"So what are we up to today lil sis?" he asked putting his plate to the side.
"I'm only four years younger then you and 5'7", I'm not little!" I exclaimed before adding, "and I was thinking Disney movies, if that's ok with you?"
"Sounds perfect," he said giving me a smile.
