Prologue

This is the day my life would change forever and I could never think or see him again. I don't want to hurt him, but not seeing him will hurt me the most. I never thought that it would end up like this.

Chapter 1: 

Hey, my name's Emma and I'm not like normal girls. I am a witch, not like you see on Halloween. On my sixteenth birthday I will be taken upon either the light or dark side. I have been to about 10 different schools and cannot control my powers. My story all started when I moved in with my grandfather. It wasn't unusual for me to move, I was just scared that if I moved again it would turn out to be the same here too. I've never had any friends, but that's because I cannot have any. If I have friends then that makes it easier for my mother to hurt them. My mother was taken to the dark side along with my sister. My mother never once loved me. I haven't seen her in fifteen years and I know I will see her soon and I'm not looking forward to it I have 104 days left until my birthday and I want to make it right. My grandfather lived far from other people to keep them away. He didn't want them to find out about us. Sometimes I wish I was normal. The first day with my grandfather was normal and then it was time to go to school. I got there late on the first day. The teacher, mr.foster introduced me to the class. I looked around to see everyone when I noticed him. I didn't know his name, but I knew him because I have dreamed about him. I looked at him and he looked at me like he knew me. After we looked at each other I looked away and sat down. He introduced himself to me and I did the same to him. Just a second after walked in Emily, she was a really beautiful girl and she was lucky enough to look so good, but she had an attitude. She interrupted me and Justin. She told him things about me that weren't true. I ignored her and turned the other way. After school I left and was driving home when my car broke down in the middle of the road. Luckily Justin was driving down the same road to get home. He stopped and offered me a ride. I told him where my grandfather had lived and we talked for a while. He dropped me of at the gate I wouldn't allow him in any further. I didn't want him to find out about us, and I didn't want him to know about me.
