This chapter is really short, Sorry!
A few weeks after the accident they discharged me from the hospital and sent me to a foster home. Ever since that day I became a very private person and showed no interest in the people around me. The foster home was owned by a cranky old woman named Mrs. Simon, she was strict and cruel. Every minute in that home was torture and was slowly driving me nuts, she was always yelling and I had a hunch that she rather disliked me.
A few months have passed and I was finally adopted. To be honest I thought nobody would adopt me, especially when I'm partially blind. I always thought to myself, who would want a blind girl. I would only weigh them down and probably cause them so much trouble, but miracles do happen. I was adopted by a quite lovely family, the Mills family to be exact. I never felt more at peace when I'm around them, they were always so supportive and loving. My step-mother had long brunette hair and soft green eyes, similar to mine. My step-father was tall, had dirty blonde hair, dark brown eyes and was quite muscular for his age. After settling in with my new family, I was sent to school.
