Chapter 4

Maree's pov

I shifted slowly as I woke up "Please buckle up we are now starting our descent" I hear over the intercom. I move my head slightly and notice I'm laying on Carter's shoulder. I looked over at him he was still asleep. I was too busy staring at Carter I didn't even notice we hit the landing strip. Carter jolted awake from the sudden jolt.

He looked around for a minute "Are you okay" I questioned he looked at me and a bright smile came on his face.

"Just perfect" his face was very cheery, weird I thought to myself. "We have now landed slowly make your way off the plane thank you for flying with us today enjoy the rest of your trip" the intercom bellowed.

I reached up to grab my luggage but, I was to short why must I be so short I really hate my height right now.

Carter reached up and grabbed my suitcase for me "Thank you" I looked over at him his eyes were turning back to gray I wonder what mood makes them gray.

"Anytime shorty" he should really wipe that smirk off his face.

"Seriously that's original" why must people make fun of my height I mean I'm not that short am I?

"What I mean you are shorter than me" he fired back

We continued walking through the terminal as he put his arm on my shoulder exaggerating how short I was "Thank you captain obvious" I commented

I knocked his arm off my shoulders even though I felt like I wanted his arm to stay there forever everything was perfect in that moment.

We walked to the center off the airport. This place was huge I have no clue how I'm going to find my mom in this place.

I looked up at Carter but he seemed fine "Hey that guy's holding a sign that says Maree"

I quickly looked to see what he was talking about there it was my name. You can probably figure it wasn't anyone else because come on who spells Maree the way I do seriously. I blame my parents for that one.

"Well looks like this is goodbye" I looked up into Carter's eyes he looked sad.

I went to go walk towards the guy with my name but Carter grabbed my arm and started walking with me.

"Alpha" the driver said and bowed to Carter. Carter looked at me and then the guy quickly got up and was staring at me like I was crazy. Who is this guy and why did he call Carter alpha seriously is this how everyone in Georgia is. Carter was talking to the guy I couldn't hear much but what I could hear made no sence Pack Beta Luna Mate and for some reason they started saying my moms name. After they had their little talk Carter was smiling like a crazy person. I have no clue what to make out of this or what any of those words had to do with me. Most importantly how the hell does my driver know the random guy I met on my flight?

Carter looked down at me with his beautiful blue eyes "Goodbye until I see you again" he bent down and kissed my hand.

I got into the car and waved goodbye I wish this wouldn't be the last time I would ever see him I'm drawn to him I don't know why but I was. The guy took off and the scene was mesmerizing it was so open land you could see nothing for miles it was all open. Even though I hate moving with my mom this is amazing.

A Few Hours Later

The car came to a sudden halt I jolted awake. I looked around there was a huge log cabin mansion type house standing in front of me. I see little kids probably about eight all running around screaming. How many kids does my mother have? The guy led me to what he said to be my room I don't think I could ever say it was actually my room but I guess I have to get use to it. I walked over to the guy I should really learn this name instead of calling him the guy.

"What's your name" He looked at me

"My names Luke" he told me

"So Luke do you know where my mother is" I looked over to him he looked hesitant for a minute

He slowly walked over to me "she's out with her ma- boyfriend she'll be back later for now do you want a tour of the house" He stumbled over the word boyfriend ma boyfriend what could that mean?

I followed him out the door "yea sure that sounds nice but one question who are all these children"

He looked hesitant for a minute "This is a house for everyone were like a family here"

"Oh thats cool" We walked around I watched all the children run around happily until this one little girl bumped into me.

She looked up at me with her pretty little green eyes "Hey my names Maree what's yours"

"My names Theia" the adorable little girl smiled.

I dropped down to her height "Well isn't that a pretty name"

She giggled a little bit "Yea that's what mommy says"

"Well your mommy is a smart women" I stood back up she went running down the hall screaming alphas home. I chased after her to see what or who this alpha is. Theia suddenly stopped I tried to avoid hitting her so I moved out of the way and fell on someone else. I felt shocks go up my body I knew who it was but why was he here where my mother lived and why did theia call him alpha. I got up out of his arms to look in his blue eyes. It was the last person I would think to see Carter.
