I was sitting at my desk in class when it happened. The most embarrassing and most terrifying moment of my life. I thought it was a dream. I quickly found out that I was wrong. When it happened, all I could think of was how awesome the day before had been.

FLASHBACK
———————————————————
I woke up to my stupid alarm. I was tired and realized I hadn't slept much the night before. I had gotten home late from the comic book store. After school I would go to the library, do my homework, possibly get a movie and a book, and then head over to the comic book store. It was my home away from home. I was there all the time outside from school and going home. School was easy in some sense, but in the other, it sucked.I didn't have any friends, I'd always wondered what it was like to have someone by your side at all times, protects you out of friendship, I'd never had that. I mean, I guess I sorta had friends when I was younger, all before the 4th or 5th grade. I can't remember which. I'm in high school now, sophomore.
So I got up, got dressed, ate some breakfast, brushed my teeth, and then got my shoes on and flung my backpack around my back. Another Monday...GREAT. Monday's were the worst because they were the beginning of the week which meant 5 days of not wanting to be anywhere but the Comic Book Store. The one thing that made me mad was that I wanted superheroes to be real and stuff, but I knew no matter how fast and how hard scientists in the world worked, I would not be alive to witness the birth and dawn of superpowers. I opened the old, rusty doorknob and walked outside. I shut the door behind me. It was a nice, Autumn day out and perfect for jumping in leaves or playing a game of football. Unfortunately for me, I don't do any of that stuff anymore because my parents are divorced and always working. The fact that I didn't have any friends didn't help the situation.
I started walking to school. I never tried to catch the bus anymore so I just started walking. Luckily, my mom had a day off tomorrow but I didn't mind either way, I was at school the whole day anyways. I always made pretty good time when I walked and I've only been late like once or twice. When I got to school, I remembered that I had a test in 3rd period. I calmed myself down and thought about everything I knew about math class. I started to remember but it was slipping away. I had to write it down quickly. I reached into my backpack for a pencil and paper. I dropped my pencil and started to run after it. I was about to pick it up when somebody stepped on it. I was even more nervous because it was my only pencil and the teacher wouldn't lend pencils out. Somebody tapped on my shoulder and said "here, take this one, I've got plenty" said a girl's voice. It didn't sound familiar, and when I turned around I realized why. She was a new girl, she had a schedule in her left hand and in her right was the pencil she was offering me. She had chocolate brown hair and blue eyes. She had a nice tank top and a purple hoodie over it. She had skin tight jeans on and she was beautiful. She was about the same height as me and she was looking at me with a smile. I smiled.
"Thanks" I said as I took the pencil. "Just so you know I'm the nerd around here, I don't have any friends. If you want friends try not to be seen with me" I said politely.
"Oh I don't care what people think" she said with a smile. "My name is Zoe Langston, what's yours?" She asked.
"My name is Michael" I said. "Michael Kingston."
She laughed a little. "Like "Bond, James Bond"?" She asked with a giggle.
"Haha I guess" I said, laughing a bit. She seemed really nice and I wanted to get to know her more.
