Chapter 15: I Am Bulletproof

I looked around my empty room. It was so quiet. I'm used to the silence though. I've always lived alone. No one ever really visited, outside of the guys and their girlfriends. No family visited. I didn't really have any friends outside of the guys' girlfriends.

I sighed and got out of bed. Might as well make use of the time alone and get ready. I walked over to my dresser and observed my clothes. I could probably make it so Jinxx could have half the dresser.

I shrugged my shoulders and began moving my clothes from one side to the other. Once I finished, I began to sort them out and make it a little neater.

That was finally done. I glanced at the clock, it only took me 10 minutes. I looked back at my clothes and settled on black short shorts and black Black Veil Brides tank.

I took my clothes with me in the bathroom before I showered. I stepped out of the shower and got dressed. I walked over to the sink to look in the mirror. What to do with my hair?

I settled on straightening it. I pulled out my flat iron and did my makeup while it heated up. After straightening my hair I dug around in my bag for a black bow.

I finally found one and carefully placed it in my hair. I observed my reflection in the mirror. Perfect. I smiled and walked out of the bathroom.

"Hey stranger," I heard someone say.

Startled, I jumped and looked to see Jinxx standing in the doorway to my room. I sighed in relief, as it was him, and walked over to my closet. I pulled the doors open and began analyzing my shoes.

I heard his bare feet pad across the wooden floor to me. I smiled to myself as he came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. I felt all the blood rush to my cheeks so I looked down and pretended to be focusing on my shoe selection.

He laughed softly and gently grabbed my chin and made me look at him, "I came back. I promised I would. I'm never leaving you, ever Amanda. I hope you know and understand that."

I nodded, unable to speak at the moment. He smiled at my shyness. He stared into my eyes before turning me around so I was completely facing him. I stared back into his eyes as he leaned in again. I closed my eyes as I filled the space between us. His love was my drug, and he was the dealer.

He kept his arms around my waist as he kissed me. I had snaked my arms around his neck and was playing with his hair. I kissed him back this time. He seemed happy about that and pressed our bodies together. I felt him smile into the kiss, as did I.

Once again, someone's phone going off ended the kiss. God dammit. Seriously? Every time.

I sighed and went back to my shoes, since it was his phone again. I settled on a pair of black ballet flats. I slipped them on and turned to see Jinxx getting ready to go somewhere.

My face dropped as I asked concerned, "Where are you going?"

"We," he corrected, "Are going to wait for Ashley. He's almost here. I'm going with you since it's a chance for you to bond with the guys. I know we probably don't need much 'bonding' time, but I'm one of the guys."

I laughed a little with him at what I guess you could call a joke. I smiled in reassurance that he wasn't leaving and walked out with him, hand-in-hand. I smiled again and sighed happily as I rested my head on his shoulder while we waited for Ashley.
