It's complicated- it's even more complicated

Why me?

Jane looked up from the ground wide eyed. "I'm what?!" Jane exclaimed. "She's what!?!" Adam added. "No this seriously can't be happening! I can't be pregnant!" Jane jumped from the bed and began to pace the floor. "Well we haven't," she shot a glare to Adam, "So... Oh my gosh! I'm having another child with Jake," Jane began to hyperventilate. "Oh my gosh, the kids are going to kill me, jake is going to want to move back in so I'm not alone..."
"You'll be needing a his sink," Adam said underneath his breath.
"Would you like an ultrasound?" The doctor asked.
"Yes... Yes she would," Adam answered for Jane who was almost crying. Adam looked at her through reassuring eyes. Jane nodded towards him. "Ok, follow me Ms Adler," Jane stood up and followed the doctor out the door and down the grey corridor.

Jane laid on the hospital bed staring up at the dark ceiling. "I should probably call Jake," she said to herself. Hesitantly she trailed her phone out of her pocket and up to her ear to call him. A cold thick substance was layered over Jane's stomach. Her body shuddered and she jolted her phone onto the bed beside her.
"Ms Addler, it looks like your about 13 weeks," the doctor smiled.
Colour drained from Janes face. "That far..." She whispered.

As Jane entered the corridor Adam greeted her. She looked deeply into his hazel eyes.
"What next?" She said. He placed his arm around her neck and replied softly in her ear, "Let's go watch the titanic or something." Jane giggled.
"Why the titanic?" She asked as they stopped in their tracks.
"Because isn't that what all hormonal girls do? Watch the titanic," he replied laughing. She looked at him seriously. "It's Jake's child, I mean there is no doubting that," she looked to the floor as tears raced down her cheeks.
"Remember that night, the one that you and I got high and made chocolate croissants?" He calmly said turning to face her.
"Yes," Jane said through sniffles.
"Remember how everything seemed perfect and in its right place?"
"Yeah,"
"Well, that's what it needs to be like," Adam pulled her in for a hug. "Your hair smells nice," he said laughing.
