"We'll get through this." Troy's hand moved towards hers and they held onto each other.
The sound of many police sirens was in the background, and Amanda's hopes were filled as these criminals could be caught.
"And for the final touch..." Blue eyes said as he moved towards the couple. His head twisted to the side and his eyes held an evil glint as his hand raised, his gun pointed straight at them.
Now.
Troy had returned back to his cold-heart self. It had been a week since the deadly events at the restaurant, it has been a week since Troy said anything to Amanda. The criminals at the restaurant had quickly run off once the police knocked down the doors with guns in their hands, ready to fire.
There was shots fired, and the man with blue eyes had stared into Amanda's and held eye contact with her as he got shot down to his knees and fell lifelessly on the ground as he bled out.
Now, they were in their living room, the atmosphere was awkward and tensed. Amanda sighed quietly to herself as she took off her eyes from a silent husband.
She felt like they had returned back to day one when Troy first came back from the war. But he wasn't as bad, before when Amanda used to lean into Troy he wouldn't dare to even wrap his around her, but now he pulls her closer towards him and holds her tightly.
She never wanted him to let go.
Amanda stood up from her seat and walked over towards Troy, his eyes followed her movements. He didn't stop her when she sat down softly on his lap and leaned into his chest. Troy wrapped his arm around her waist and his fingers dug into her skin, not painfully.
''Troy...'' Amanda softly pecked Troy's lips, and he looked into her eyes instead of answering.
''Please speak to me.'' Troy heard the desperation in his wife's voice, but something was stopping him.
''You haven't spoken since the-'' Amanda stopped herself once flashbacks returned. She closed her eyes tightly and shook her head to get rid of the thoughts.
''You can't just keep doing this to me, every single bad thing in our life that happens you close up and don't speak.'' Amanda held back the anger in her voice and placed her fingers on his chin and turned his face towards her.
Troy's eye twitched at the movement and forced his head out of Amanda's grip. Troy softly pushed Amanda to the side of the sofa and stood up, quickly Amanda grabbed onto his wrist and stopped him from moving.
''Troy.'' She warned, just the way she said his name proved that if Troy walked away from his wife then she was going to be angry.
Amanda swore that this is all they do. Argue, argue and even more arguing.
Troy stared at Amanda, his jaw clenched and he threw his wrist out of her grip.
Amanda felt a sudden urge of confidence once she saw Troy took one step away from her. She stood on top of the sofa and jumped onto Troy's back. ''Stop walking away from me!'' She wrapped her arms and legs around him tightly.
His hands went to her arms and gently rubbed them with his thumbs, ''What are you doing?''
Amanda smiled once she heard his deep voice again, just the simple words made her smile in happiness.
