Maree's pov

I looked up a Carter "Um what are you doing here?"

"I live here" he flat out told me

I looked at Luke and gave him The "I need help" look Luke kindly walked over to help me out. I'll have to thank him for that later.

"Um Maree this is Carter remember earlier how I told you everybody lives here like a family".I nodded my head from him to continue remembering what he had said earlier "Well Carter here is kind of our father figure" Luke managed to get out looking nervous.

I looked at him like he was crazy "What do you mean father figure he's only seventeen and a junior in highschool how is that possible" I managed to yell out after I said that I realized I had many people staring at me uh oh.

Theia on the other hand was down by my feet yanking my arm down. Basically her way of telling me to come down to hear height. I dropped down and she cupped her hands around my ear " You shouldn't yell at alpha he might get mad then I won't be able to be friends with you" her voice seem scared but seriously why is she calling Carter alpha. I got back up to my height even though Carter still towered over me.

I finally built up the courage to say "Um what's an alpha?" everybody looked at me. Right as Carter went to speak my mom burst through the door with a guy who I'm guessing is her boyfriend.

My mom walked up to me surprisingly she wasn't drunk I don't think I have any memories of her not being drunk. "Maree you've gotten so big" she said through tears as she rubbed my face. I stepped away from her fast "Woah wait a minute it's been over 10 years and now you want to see me dont expect me to become all daughtery to you".

Everybody looked at me in shock, like how could I talk to my mother like that. Well for me it was easy not having her in my life. I mean when she finally came in I already had so much built up anger inside of me for her. Carter looked most surprised his mouth hung open and he was slowly making his way towards me. Once he touched me instantly felt calmer and then he pulled me into a hug and everyone gasped and had a look of shock on their faces. I heard a "Does this mean she's our Luna" "Alpha found his mate" "Luna" someone said then bowed.

Seriously people "Can someone explain to me what an alpha and luna are" my mom looked over at me and cursed under her breath.

She walked up to me hesitantly "He never told you did he" I'm extremely confused "Who never told me what".

She took a deep breath before explaining "Okay I'm going to explain everything now and don't interrupt me and don't question me this all is going to be very confusing at first." I nodded as she continued "So let's just start off our family came from werewolves everybody here are werewolves the reason this house is so big is because this is a pack house most werewolves live here". I looked at my mom like she was crazy werewolves they doesnt existed fight? "Luke over there is the beta of the pack second in charge. The reason you are hearing alpha is because Carter is an alpha he is the leader of the pack the father figure. Before we get to luna you need to understand the concept of mates. Mate is short for soul mate the moon goddess created a specific person for you that will love you forever. This person will smell amazing. They will be the most amazing person you have met and when you touch them it will send shocks up your body." When she said that it made me think of Carter but still seriously werewolves come on. "So now that you get mates a luna is an alpha's mate she is the mother figure of the pack and you are the luna of the new moon pack." Thats where I stopped her.

"Woah woah woah I think I would know if I was a werewolf I think you have the wrong person" my mind was going a so fast I couldn't process me a werewolf a luna my mate.

"You wouldn't know until you are seventeen on your seventeenth birthday you will change into your wolf form" That's in a week oh crap.

"Okay yea whatever your a "werewolf" I put I air quotes "that still doesn't explain why you were a shitty mother."

My mother looks at me with hurt in her eyes "You wouldn't understand I loved you but as you can see your dad wasn't my mate. I drank to forget that because I couldn't find my mate I believed he wasn't out there. I wasn't good mother because I want happy. I was forced into a relationship with him but, I found my mate and your father let me go and I wish I could take it back but I'm extremely sorry. I hope I can make up for it."

When she was done I was still pissed but I mean I work towards forgiving her. "So wait he's my mate?"

"Yes he is when you change into your wolf you won't be able to resist him it'll become a lot harder you to were made for eachother"

I sort of understood it but not entirely but, I was extremely tired I just wanted to go back to sleep. "Can you just bring me back to my room please" not directed at anyone specifically.

"Yea i'll bring you up" I turned around to see Carter.

"Okay" he got up and started walking toward my room and I followed. We got up to my room.

"Your clothes are in the closet and your bathroom through that door. My rooms next door if you need me" He said with a killer smile.

"Thank you" I smiled nicely.

As soon as I hit my bed I instantly passed out. It's been a long day I found out I'm a werewolf and I have an alpha mate making me a luna oh god what am I going to do.
