chapter two

~Hayes' Pov~

Today was weird in science because of all those girls that were staring and making goggly eyes at me. Science is my last class so Basil and I exchanged numbers at the end of class and we both decided to put in our own names for each other so the other person did know what we thought about them I put Basil in my phone as "😍B". We both walk home so I asked where she lived she lived on the same street as me 2 houses down so we walked home together.

"So do you have any homework on your first day?" She asked.

"Yeah in english my teacher said that it may be my first day but it isn't everyone else's so I still get work... yeah" I said

"oh you must have Mr.Bluecrow."She said nodding her head.

"Yeah is he bad?"

"You moved from North Carolina and he gave you homework I would say, yeah he's pretty bad." She laughed at me.

"Haha yeah I guess." I laughed back.

"So you never told me about your foster family now, are they nice, I mean not to intrude."

"No its okay. Yeah they are pretty nice and they don't do anything bad I mean you know they drink every once in a while but they aren't like alcoholics they are kind of normal I guess you could say." She laughed.

"oh." I laughed with her.

"how long have you been living with them?"

"around 1 1/2 years." she said.

"thats pretty good." I said hoping that it was good.

"yeah I like them but it just doesn't feel like the right family I am still waiting for them to come along." She said.

"yeah. they will come someday."

"hey do you want to hang out?" she asked.

"sure let me ask." I said calling my step mom.

"k." she replied.

I finished talking to my step mom. "she said sure."

"k cool."

We got to Basils house and when we got there we went upstairs.

"hey do you want something to eat or drink?" she asked.

"no thats okay thank you."

"okay tell me if you change your mind, so what do you want to do?" she asked.

"I don't really care."

"haha well do you like want to watch a movie or something?"

"uh sure." I said.

"okay what do you want to watch?"

"again I really don't care."

"lol okay how about "if i stay"?" she asked.

"sure, why not?" I said.

She laughed and put the movie in. When she put it in she came over and laid down on the bed next to me. She was watching the movie and I looked down at her she looked so pretty just laying there. I could see her brown eyes slowly shut and I wasn't sure if I should wake her up or act like I didn't know she fell asleep so I just let her sleep. Faint breaths were falling out of her mouth it was cute. She sort of flipped over and again I didn't know what to do she was snuggling into my chest and it felt good so I just left her there.

~Basil's Pov~

I just wanted to snuggle with him when we were watching that movie so I may or may not have acted like I fell asleep I was hoping he wouldn't do anything and just let me lay there and he did so I started to snuggle into him he smelt so good. He still didn't do anything about it so I just laid there. I could hear his heart beating super fast and that made me happy because that meant he was nervous and that meant that he didn't want to do anything wrong.
