Paris, the City of Lights,
Cloacked in darkness overnight
My prayers go to you
But not only you

I pray for the world:
Where bombs are exploded at funerals in Baghdad
Where blood is spilled everyday in Palestine
Where Syrians are called terrorists in their own lands

Where suicide bombings explode two days ago in Beirut
Where innocent civilians are killed for their religion in Nigeria
Where wars are fought over territories in Yemen
Where Venezuela faces the affects of drugs

I pray for tomorrow's children
For every damaged soul, every beautiful country destroyed
For every fallen soldier, every weeping mother
For every widowed wife, every orphaned child

I see humans but no humanity
So today, tomorrow and every day that follows
Forever and always
My heart is with you
