Carter's pov for chapters 4 and 5

Both of us had fallen asleep on the plane just having her on my shoulder made my wolf settle. She is so beautiful I don't know what I would do without her. I jolted awake when we hit the landing strip. I looked around then my eyes fell on my beautiful mate.

I heard the most beautiful voice speak up "Are you okay?" I couldn't help but to smile her voice was beautiful.

"Just perfect" What I said was true I was perfectly fine right next to my mate. I only wish she knew I was her mate.

"We have now landed slowly make your way off the plane thank you for flying with us today enjoy the rest of your trip" the intercom bellowed.

She got up and reached for her bags but being five three wasn't helping her at all in this moment. I thought it was cute though.

I reached up and grabbed her bags for her.

"Thank you" she didn't have to thank me I would do anything for her.

"Anytime shorty" I commented but it was true I was six five and she was five three .

She looked at me with anger "Seriously that's original" I guess I wasn't suppose to say that. My wolf was getting angry at me make mate happy my wolf kept repeating.

But hey I was telling the truth "What I mean you are shorter than me" we started walking down the terminal.

I put my arm on top of her shoulder "Thank you captain obvious" she looked at me shaking my arm off her shoulder.

We walked to the center of the airport and looked over to see my beta Luke sitting there hold a sign with Maree's name on it. So she was thee Maree. One of my pack members was talking about asking me if she could join the pack. Of course I said yes I'm not the big bad alpha that everybody thinks I am.

"Hey that guy's holding a sign that says Maree" she quickly spun her head around to look where the guy was.

"Well looks like this is goodbye" she said in a sad voice I looked at her I was most definitely sad lets not mention my wolf seriously just kiss her tell her you love say anything to keep our mate I was thinking the same thing. She went to go walk away but I grabbed her arm and walked her to the car.

"Alpha" my beta bowed to me I quickly mind-linked him "She's my mate and doesn't know anything about werewolves get up" I pulled him over to talk to him.

"Remember the mom that wanted to join the pack last week?" I asked Luke

"Yes of course is this the girl" my wolf growled when he said the girl she is more than just the girl.

"She is you Luna and my mate" His eyes looked scared for a minute.

"So she's Eliza's daughter" He asked looking confused.

"I guess I never asked her but you are beta why are you picking her up" I asked as I furrowed my eyebrows

"Eliza asked me to get her and make sure she got back safe" he replied quickly

"You better take care of your luna I'll be at the pack house later" I didn't want to let her go but I know she's safe with Luke.

"Yes alpha" he said

We walked back over to my beautiful mate I looked at her "Goodbye until I see you again" I said as I bent down to kiss her hand.

She waved good bye and it killed both me and my wolf to see her go.

I went for a run so I wouldn't beat her home. 

Letting my wolf free felt amazing but he wanted his mate and what he want goes. Before I even have time to think I'm running towards the pack house. I shift back then grab the clothes I have hidden in the woods.

I walked in and heard a little girl talking it's Luke's little girl Theia.

"Hey my names Maree what's yours" my beautiful mate said to Theia

"My names Theia" Theia said to my mate just hearing her made me want to run to her

"Well isn't that a pretty name"

"Yea that's what mommy says"

"Well your mommy is a smart women" Haha if only she knew how smart Lyric really was.

All of a sudden the talking stopped and I hear Theias little feet running and her screaming alpha. I see Maree running suddenly Theia stopped Maree tried to avoid hitting her she tripped and fell into my arms.

She looked at me " Um what are you doing here?" she looked at obviously very confused

"I live here" again she still had that look it was driving me crazy I just wanted to mark her.

She looked over at Luke my wolf didn't like that very much. Her face was pleading for help did I scare my mate? Now my wolf was really mad.

Luke walked over "Um Maree this is Carter remember earlier how I told you everybody lives here like a family" she nodded her head for him to continue "Well Carter here is kind of our father figure" Luke finished looking nervous.

She looked at me "What do you mean father figure he's only seventeen and a junior in highschool how is that possible" she yelled I looked around everybody was staring at her probably because I was an alpha and nobody yells at an alpha.

Theia pulled down Marees arm she dropped down to Theias height I heard " You shouldn't yell at alpha he might get mad then I won't be able to be friends with you" Theia finished looking nervous. My mate stood up and looked at me questionally "What's an alpha?" she asked blatantly. Right when I was about to answer Eliza burst through the door.

"Maree you've gotten so big" Eliza came running over to her quickly Maree said "Woah wait a minute it's been over 10 years and now you want to see me dont expect me to become all daughtery to you". Everybody was shocked even I was for a moment. I made my way towards her to comfort her so I pulled her into a hug when we pulled back I heard "Does this mean she's our Luna" "Alpha found his mate" "Luna" someone said then bowed.

My mate looked confused "Can someone explain to me what an alpha and luna are"

"He never told you did he" her mother said looking down at her

"Who never told me what" she now looked more confused than ever.

Her mother started explaining the concept of werewolves,mate,alphas and how she was luna of the red moon pack.

Once she was done talking to her mom I heard "So wait he's my mate?"

Her mom talking to her about the mate attraction. I waited there while she walked hoping she would be more comfortable talking to her mom about that stuff.

"Can you just bring me back to my room please."

Of course when she said this I was most definitely not letting any other male take her to her room.

She turned around to face me when is said "Yea i'll bring you up"

"Okay" she causally followed behind me upstairs. I knew her room would be right next to mine because they knew she was luna and I would want t o keep her close by.

I walked in her room "Your clothes are in the closet and your bathroom through that door. My rooms next door if you need me".  Making sure she knew I was right next door in case she needed me. As soon as I closed the door I heard her hit the mattress. My wolf was begging me to go in and lay next to her but I had to resist for one more week I can't wait till she turns seventeen this will be good.
